| Bio and Links | | I have always loved history and have become addicted to genealogy and of course Find A Grave. My father was Charlie Temple Davis. He was born in Elizabeth City (Newland), Pasquotank County, NC. His brother once told me I was related to half of Pasquotank County. After many months of research I believe it! I was born and raised in California. Now semi-retired I returned to the land of my paternal ancestors in January 2005. I even found my own personal family cemetery, the Davis Cemetery, here in Elizabeth City, NC. My 3rd Great Grandfather Miles Davis and many family members are buried there. Check it out. | |

 | RE: Grave Photo It was my pleasure, Melanie. I enjoy volunteering on FindAGrave. I went to your mother and father's memorial also. Thank you for sharing them. They were quite the dapper couple!

 | RE: Newbern Cemetery - Powells Point, NC Sorry about the long delay answering. We were out of the state twice, once for two years, and then again for 18 months. The Newbern Cemetery in Powells Point is off U.S. 158 to the east, .1 mile up Buster Newbern Road (SR 1121). Hope this will help you locate the cemetery. Went there in 2002 but haven't been back - haven't entered any since then. | | | Jeff

 | Robert Dickinson headstone Melanie,
I was at the cemetery today to take the picture of Robert Dickinson's headstone only to find there is'nt one yet. I talked to the groundskeeper who told me there wasnt one yet. I took pictures of the spot he was buried at. The groundskeeper also told me his grandson was buried next to him in the next row. I took a picture of this marker. What do you want me to do? I can post the picture of the space he is buried in if you like. I would be happy to go back and take a picture of the grave marker when there is one. I can also send you the pictures that I took, including his grandson. Please let me know what you want to do.Added by Jeff on Oct 05, 2009 6:03 PM | | |
