OK..so I've been doing Find-a-Grave for a while now and have decided to change my bio a bit.|
Here are my thoughts on this stuff.
Relax..enjoy what you're doing otherwise you should stop before you get too far into it. No man is an island and this certainly can't be done alone. Rather than complain about someone's work...help them with it.
TRANSFERS: In most cases I'll transfer any memorial that isn't listed in my family surnames. I transfer on a case by case decision. I don't have issues with the number of generations. If I've transferred a memorial to you, please be sure you can maintain it or make the changes that others request. If for any reason, you can't maintain the memorials I've transferred to you, I'll be more than happy to take it back. ..please don't ask for a transfer of memorials and then become an inactive member, and have all your memorials go stagnant...TRANSFER THEM BACK OR TRANSFER THEM TO SOMEONE WHO CAN MAINTAIN THEM.
PICTURES: If I've taken a picture or attached a document ... please help yourself...no need to give me credit. I don't need to toot my horn or have it tooted. I've added them to the memorials for everyone to use. If you want to attach a picture to my memorials that are better than mine...please do so. I welcome them, but keep in mind I might use them in Ancestry.com if they're in my family tree....thanks again in advance.
EDITS: If there are errors in any of the memorials that I've entered please let me know. I'll be glad to correct them as well as make any changes necessary. PLEASE USE THE EDIT BUTTON.
FLOWERS: PLEASE PLEASE don't use the flower section as a place to add a bio for the memorial...that isn't where it belongs. If I happen to come across one on a memorial that I've created, I will ask you to remove it. I'll gladly add it to the bio...just send me an EDIT. If it isn't deleted in a timely amount of time I will ask firstname.lastname@example.org to remove it.
DUPLICATES: Duplicates happen...it's impossible not to happen. We've all created duplicates. If you've created a duplicate, please don't ignore the courteous request to delete them. I will gladly delete mine. If you don't delete your duplicate within a reasonable amount of time, I will ask email@example.com to do so.
It's hard for me to understand that these memorials belong to any one person....I believe they belong to "all" of us.
A sincere THANK YOU to all the Find a grave volunteers for all the hard work, help and dedication that you've given me...even some of you who have been a bit snippy and nasty at times.
This may sound a bit crude, but my theory is "if you don't want to share your toys...get out of the sandbox".
Thanks for reading my bio.

Thank you for the photo. I have been there twice looking for him, but didn't find him. Is he in the County Section? Do you remember, does he have a flag and Civil ?war Marker?
If not, I will bring up a flag holder.
I thought I looked at every one of the gravestones in the County section, but somehow, I guess I missed it both times.
Thank you again.

Thank you for informing me about the dup records I looked at the record 90409398. This record has Burial as unknown witch I have been told is against the rules I have been told in the past. I use non cemetery burial and only for my ancestors that I do not know were they are buried. Edward is a relative and a war hero who died for his country. I did a lot of research on him found where he was buried and got pictures of his grave stone. I do not know who the person that made the record no bio or other info. Am going to leave it be for now in the past I had find a grave merge records. I do not do this for numbers I do it to record my ancestors and record graves that have not been recorded yet.

Thanks so much for the headstone photo! Have a great day!
|Tim & Grace||In Like Flint|
It looks like Fronie's mother's middle name was Flint... Melinda Flint Holt, and then she married Leonard Flint to become Melinda Flint Holt Flint.
All of the intermarrying between the same families makes this so interesting. I guess that is why peyton Place was so popular back in the Sixties ;)

Fronie's maiden name was Flint... her middle name was Holt after her mother's maiden name. I have just sent you links to her parents, whom you also have memorials for.
Always a pleasure to "play in the sandbox" with you ;)
Sincerely, Tim Cooper

Obits are not allowed also, Wendy recorded the main headstone with his mother still alive, you live in N h , you do a small town in pa, and most of your work are obits....Interesting for sure, most of the people at st marks my family knows and us kids know their kids who are now in the late sixties. Let's not go there. Closed book
