Just a friend!|
Please understand that I have no control over the names, words and dates engraved on stones, written on death certificates or provided in obituaries. I didn't write them. I'm only providing those previously written words to you.
I have been a contributor on this site for over 13 years, so yes it stands to reason that I have a fair number of memorials that I have entered, added to and lovingly care take even though they may not be a branch of my own family. It's quite possible that if I had not entered the memorial to begin with, you may not have been able to find them.
Individuals using this site need to realize that we are all volunteers and do not need to deal with abusive behavior or rudeness just because we won't make a transfer to someone who has registered two days or two months ago and want every memorial on the site with the surname of Jones. Or a transfer of a memorial of someone who they think just might be a fifth cousin, four times removed of their third ex-husband.
If you are new to this site, PLEASE read the "Frequently Asked Questions" located "HERE". If you take just a moment to familiarize yourself with these guidelines, it will definitely help yours and everyone else's state of mind, blood pressure and headaches.
If you will please use the "Edit" tab located on each memorial, I will be more than happy to correct, edit or add information to a memorial that is meaningful. I will not add all of the information from the past ten census records that have been released or any distasteful or disturbing messages.
Please be kind. We all make mistakes from time to time. If I have made a mistake or created a duplicate memorial later than one you have created, please use the "Edit" tab and send me the correction or let me know of the duplication and it will be taken care of quickly.
I will make transfers using the "Guidelines" if they are not a relative of mine. I will transfer your children, siblings, parents, grandparents or great-grandparents. All other requested transfers will be considered if you use the "Edit" feature and state your relationship or intended need for the memorial.
Lastly and most importantly, there are so many absolutely wonderful people that use Find-A-Grave! I am very appreciative for all of the suggested corrections, additional information and photos that have been provided. Please don't allow the rude, abusive and sometimes rather bizarre behavior of individuals to curb your enthusiasm or your want to help others.

I think this is a duplicate/incorrect entry of another Ferdinand Schievelbein on the same cemetery. Can you please delete this memorial?

Joan, you are very kind -- and very welcome. You have done so much on Find A Grave that it's truly mind-boggling! It's only right that we show how much we appreciate that. So much would be lost without your dedication. Thank you!
With warm regards and appreciation,
|Beth Ullman||transfer of Albert George Cook|
Thank you so very much for transferring Albert Cook to me -- and after making the edits! It is amazing the dedication and care you have given to this work, especially considering it is all as a volunteer. Thanks to you and many others, we have parts of our family history that, being thousands of miles away, we would have had great difficulty getting on our own. It truly is very much appreciated.
With warmest regards,
|Laura V||2 Ida Weyels|
Thanks for finding and posting those obituaries. I think the plot thickens. In addition to Theodore Weyel marrying both Ida Braun and Ida Ruempel - Ida Ruempel first married Heinrich Scheffler.
Apparently Theodore and Ida Braun had son Arthur Weyel while Heinrich and Ida Ruempel had son Emil Scheffler. Then Theodore Weyel married Ida Ruempel Scheffler and they treated the boys (born a year apart both in Dec!) as brothers.
Ida Ruempel Scheffler Weyel's obit and Theodore Weyel's obit both mention both boys as surviving sons. The obit you posted for Theodore calls Emil, Amiel Scheffler.
I couldn't write a better soap opera script if I tried!

Thanks for the catch LOL. The 0 is next to the 9 and I guess I just hit the wrong key and never noticed. I appreciate your calling it to my attention.

Joan, firstly; thanks so much for putting the memorials up for my Garrett's. William A. Garret is my great, great uncle. It was wonderful to find him, his wife Isabella and 4 of their children's memorials. I did some connecting of the children to their parents in the "edit" format. Thanks again

|Laura T||Mrs Joseph E Stark|
Hi Joan--your message prompted me to do a little digging on Mrs. Stark. I found her given name, birthdate and place of birth on her Death Certificate and was able to link her with their son, John, also at SANC through the VA Nationwide Gravesite Locator. I have no idea where husband, Joseph, is buried. Thanks! Laura

Hello, and thank you for the work you did on this individual, he is my great grandfather. I've been doing a lot of work on my own and it was great to see this. However, I have many research questions as to how you came about this information. Could you please contact me in a private message at email@example.com
