Bio and Links
Bio Photo As a lifelong resident of Mecca, OH, my key cemeteries of focus are East Mecca, West Mecca, and Hillside. I've also performed extensive photography and transcribing work in North View in Gustavus, Brownwood, Sager Memorial and Greenlawn. Please contact me if you need any assistance with these cemeteries and I'll do my best to help.

I am a descendent of the Armstrong's, Guy's, Poling's, McNinch's, Winans', Winters', Harris's, and Donston's.

My grandparents are:

Charles William Armstrong
Florence Lucille Poling Armstrong

James Loy Guy
Virginia Marie McNinch Guy

I originally joined Find A Grave to locate the graves of my ancestors, but I've since been on a quest to help others locate their loved ones as well. I've been photographing graves and adding as many memorials from local cemeteries as possible. If you find your relative among my list of managed memorials, please don't hesitate to ask me to add additional information, link family members, or even transfer the memorial into your management. I just won't be able to transfer my own family members but I can make adjustments or additions on your behalf. I will transfer outside of the Find A Grave guidelines! I believe if you are kin-direct or not-the memorial belongs to you before me.

As a child, I was always fascinated by cemeteries and walking along the gravestones to read the inscriptions. To this day, I have such a great interest in the people who have walked this earth before me. I believe that these headstones are so much more than a plot in a cemetery; these were people just like us with lives be they long or short that were filled with dreams and goals and passions. Every memorial I've created has been given as much love and attention as possible. If information is missing, it's only because it was not available to me. I scour birth, marriage, death, and census records and resort to family trees on Rootsweb and when information is lacking. Please kindly inform me of additional information for these memorials and I will be most happy to add it.

Feel free to use any of the grave photos I have taken for anything you like. Please just ask permission before using family photos. Most of these family photos are already on, so please attach to your family tree from mine instead of uploading them to yours as this can create all kinds of problems. Many of these photos were either rescued by myself or I went through great lengths to identify. Some belong to my other family members and used by me with exclusive permission, and have been given proper credit.

Because I am a new mother, it takes me a bit longer than before to process edits and respond to personal requests. Please be patient with me.

Thank you for the Transfer!
Dear Ashley,
Much appreciation to you for the transfer of Aaron Rice, AND the TREMENDOUS number of leads and material to research! I was wading through some of it yesterday, and will email you later. (There is conflicting info in the genealogy book, as there has been with the oral history, etc, per usual.)
Warmest congratulations on your newest focus, your new baby.
You are most generous; thank you for taking your time and energy in responding to my queries with so much. It is very much appreciated.

God love you!

Transfer request, plus...
Dear Ashley,

I am requesting transfer of Aaron Rice #111852566 to my care, as he is a direct ancestor.

I also wish to ask you about the bio notes on the file, re "son of Aaron and Anna Yale", and "married Submit Jones". Where did you find this data? I would like to verify with some hagglers who claim it was a 'Submit Yale' he married, and have citations at the ready.

Also, I am seeking help in locating more of Aaron's and my line, my great grandparents who died in Highland Park IL, but were both interred in ORWELL according to both of their obits.

Lucian J. Rice - born Mesopotamia (or Orwell) 22 June 1851 - 16 March 1932
Mary Ann [Gamlin] Rice - born Windsor 15 December 1854 - 16 November 1925. Her obit said her funeral services would also be in Orwell.
Elmer G. Rice, their son, 1878-? in Mesopotamia (he shows only in 1880 Census, so he must have died as child.
The gravesites might be in Orwell, Windsor, Mesopotamia, N Bloomfield...
I have checked many cemetery records online so far.
If you wish to help, let me know, please. In any case, thanks so much for all that you do.

Warm regards,
PJ Miller

RE: Alexis D. Booth
Creating a cenotaph for him sounds like a great way to finish memorializing his life. Thanks for your help. Ace

Alexis D. Booth

It appears that he is not buried at Greene Lawn Cemetery, Greene Center, Ohio. Instead, it looks like he is buried here:

Please tell me how you would like to resolve this.

I am not related. I photographed the entire mausoleum at Ottawa Avenue Cemetery, and I am in the process of putting all of the crypts online. His second wife if buried next to him.

Happy Thanksgiving to you!
