I am researching the Cotterman's, Severing's, Self's, Whitmer's, Overmyer's, Wyrick's and Larimer's. Most of my family came from Germany to PA in the 1700's then settled in Perry Co, Ohio. |
I am glad that there are sites such as find-a-grave because I have been in a lot of cemeteries that are not going to be there soon and need to be photographed while they can to have a record of them.
If you want to use my pictures I have taken, please feel free to do so. I don't need any recognition. I do this to help other people.
(By the way, the pic on my profile is my dau - Jessica Caito 67492854)

Hi Brenda…. The photo you posted for Quincy Cheadle #9390839 is actually for Quincy Cheadle, b. 1893 and his wife Emma.
Quincy Cheadle #9390839 was born in 1828 (wife Elizabeth) and is the grandfather of Quincy Cheadle, b. 1893. Can you delete the photo from the memorial. Thanks much, SMF Fort Scott KS … (descendant of Cheadles)

Hi Bren, thanks so much for the Walters photo. Maybe sometime when I'm up there we can go grave hunting together. It's been a long time since we've seen each other. I'm not familiar with this cemetery.

I noticed you have a Civil War photo on this memorial. I do not understand how he could have been in the Civil War (1861-1865) if he died in 1858. Is there another name on the side of the memorial where the Civil War marker is located? Perhaps it was a son of his that was in the Civil War. Just curious.

Thank you! You are the first person to say anything about it. I absolutely love it! It is a very beautifully written piece. I find myself re-reading it quite often. I came across it by chance while researching some WV newspapers for my ancestors. It sure speaks volumes. ;)
