I have researched my multiple family lines in Franklin County Vermont for over 40 years. I am originally from CT but have moved around a bit and when I move to a new area I like to learn about the local history and its people. Most of these are not related to me although I have been surprised to find some ancestors in cemeteries where I never expect them to be, only discovered while researching for others.

As a long time genealogist I believe in making each person be more than a name and date on a stone. When time allows I try to gather info on the people through records and add it to their find-a-grave memorial. I also like to connect or at least reference ties to others [brother of, daughter of, etc] so that those who use find-a-grave as a genealogical tool can garner this info. This is especially important when children died young and were never found on a census record, or when families never talked about the deaths of infants. They become lost to history.

I am currently living in the South Hadley /Chicopee area in Massachusetts and have taken on pet projects recording graves at the Village Cemetery (aka South Hadley Falls Cemetery) and the Mater Dolorosa Cemetery (Polish Catholic). I will also do photo requests in these and Notre Dame Cemetery (French).

Feel free to use any of my photos. Some feel that their hard work in taking photos and recording grave info makes the info theirs and they even copyright it. And while it IS hard work when done on a large scale, I believe that I am just sharing the photo with the many relatives and descendants who all share a piece of the decedant. It is not mine, it's yours. If you give me credit for the photos, I’d appreciate it.
