Bio and Links
Bio Photo trying to stay ahead of developers who want to cover historical markers... and the weather, time and vandals that obscure the inscriptions... to honor those that walked before us.

Although I visit cemeteries whenever I travel (to the dismay of others in the car), most of my work is in Vermont, New Hampshire, New York's lower Hudson Valley and Washington State's Skagit County. I've been known to wander off to Massachusetts, Connecticut and Maine given the opportunity.

Whenever possible, I post a photo--a photo makes it real. I also try to list the sources I've used to stitch together family relations or any info that I might find. I will not link to those who are listed as burial location unknown.

Thank you in advance for sending in corrections or additions using the Edit button. I appreciate your updates very much. Although I try to thank and acknowledge all corrections, I may not always have the time. Edits posted in the message area below will be ignored and deleted.

I transfer direct relatives within three generations (that means: your siblings, parents, grandparents, children, and grandchildren). As Richard H so aptly puts it:
"... someone who died 200 years ago could be related to thousands of people." Please use the virtual cemetery feature to group your family memorials.

My activity is seasonal--I use the New England winters to create new memorials with the images I've collected the rest of the year. There are several thousand waiting to be processed... Click here to see the memorials I've added in the past few 7 days.

Lady Goshen

And the mystery continues. It makes since to me that they would have to have a place to dispose of bodies used in the medical school. Let me know what you come up with as a picture of the grounds would be a great addition to Find a Grave.

Owen family of Slate Hill Cemetery
Hi there - I am wondering if you would happen to have any info on a missing family member of Ranson & Mary Owen who are buried at the above cemetery (#27230215) - they had 3 children - Nellie, Ida & Allan - Nellie is missing? born Jul 1869 based on the census? Thank you in advance - Christine

RE: Porter Cemetery
The location that you have is correct.

About merging, I would expect to retain management of the memorials since I am on Lyme,NH Cemetery committees, and because I photographed, inscribed and linked all the monuments in the lot. And because I live around the corner. The other duplicate (Stetson) was an Excel upload of questionable records, I believe.

RE: Orr in Corinth VT
Hello, yes Robert Orr is my 4th Great Grandfather. He and his brother John came to the United States just before the Rev. War. They married sisters, Robert & Nancy Mills and John and Sara Mills. John was a Rev. War Veteran. And Robert started a mill and family. They lived in Parish of Paisley, Kilmalcam, Scotland and were the sons of John Orr and Janet Ramsay. I have done quite a bit of research on them, trying to prove that Robert may have been in the War also but have not found that info. yet. Hope this helps. -Allen Dillavou

James Hebard/Hibbard
Thank you for the correction of James being in the School Street Cemetery in Lyme N.H. I had him in Porter Cemetery{with the rest of his family}. My mistake. I also had the death date incorrect.. I have corrected both.. also connected with the person who had already posted James Hebard to the School Street Cemetery and hope we can combine the two postings.. Thanks again.. my error. Hibbard is my main family and i try to keep it correct on "Find A Grave" & "". Ramona
