Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hello Reader. I am first and foremost a follower of the Jesus of the Bible: the Messiah, the Christ, the Creator, the "only begotten Son" - I love Him because He first loved me and it was by His death for me on the cross that I have hope past the grave!

I'm a fairly new widow with four grown kids and three perfect kid-in-laws, and the seven most adorable, brilliant, charming and sweet grandchildren ever born - and I'm not even prejudiced! :) When I'm not playing with them, I like to study the Bible, quilt, read great books, hike, backpack, travel, garden, and play board games. I am also a long-time "spits & furts" genealogist. And I enjoy volunteering for FindAGrave.

Thanks to my sister RhondaJo, who not only laid the foundations of my genealogy research, but who has encouraged me to do F.A.G. Oddly, I began to participate only a few months before my strong healthy husband of over 35 years collapsed and died without warning or illness. As a new widow, I am enjoying FindAGrave as something I can do on sleepless nights, "paying it forward" to future generations and strangers. I find cemeteries places of serenity and sobriety, but also of hope. My primary function in FAG is taking photos of local markers, and when I fulfill a request I take pix of as many extra stones as I have the back and time for. Usually there is a memorial already up, but on occasion I need to create a memorial, so if you see that I am managing your family or friend, please ask. It's my hope and goal that every site I put up will go to a family member or friend. I welcome edits, additions, and corrections to my memorials. You may use my photos.

Through the loss of my own husband and parents, I've realized that these memorials are the only lasting memorial place many people will ever have, and the only sight of the marker many will ever see. So I hope I and other photographers take time to clean up the grave site: whisk away leaves, wipe off bird poop, trim the grass from the edges, take a photo of the back of upright stones, and close-ups of details. Make note of the inscriptions, especially the small, fading ones. Then please, send a note via the edit button to the manager of the site with any new info gleaned from the marker. Thank you!

I am also willing to share what info I have on my family lines if I can help anyone. The lines I am especially interested in include:
Anderson/Peterson, Ashlin, Blackketter, Brady, Broome, Causey, Clary, Combs, Cowart, Freeman, Gentry, Groseclose, Humphries, Joiner, Kegans, McVey, Pate, Ring, Sorbello, Spangler, Ward, & Wells.

If you would like to contact me off the public wall, I can be emailed at ksorbello at hotmail dot com.

RE: Frances O'Neill, Memorial# 112170141
Thank Kim!

I uploaded the front and back photos of their new headstone and noted that a new headstone was installed after Thomas's passing. Since there's room, I would leave her original unless Janet or someone else wants room for another picture.

Hi Kim,

You added headstone photos for Frances (Janet's memorial) at SVNC. Her husband has since passed away and a new headstone has been installed. I'm adding the new headstone pics to her memorial. Would you like to remove yours?

WWII Women Vets
Hi, I saw that you were maintaining Wayne Taylor Collard in F-G and Jennie, his wife, is/was a cousin and I wondered if we are related through them in some way. THEN, I went to your vitrual cemeteries and wanted to give you a name for your WWII Women's vets...Averill Rebecca Meeker, # 37522132, wife of a cousin (who died in an air accident) of my husband's mother. Both of his parents lost cousins to WWII aviation accidents.

Also, I started a virtual cemetery for the 442nd, Go For Broke Batallion, so if you every come across any...they often have and and/or Go For Broke on their grave markers. I was blessed as superintendent of schools in San Gabriel, CA (2006-2011) to get to meet and know quite a few of these living heros! OR, if you want to add that two your list, I can sent you their memorial numbers. We live in Hawaii now and when we visit Punchbowl we almost always find another one.

Hello! My name is Rebecca Burton. I'm the niece of Bernard F. Burton Jr. #32488229. I was wondering if you could transfer management? I'm trying to gather up family members. Thanks in advance for taking care of him up to now.

So Happy to Meet You
I am so happy to have met you (via F-A-G) and to know that you and Ronda Jo are sisters!!! What a treat! I've been visiting many members of your family's graves this morning...Mother's Day May 5/10/2015. I enjoyed your very interesting bio. I've added you as my Friend--as I Love and Cherish my Friends.
Find-A-Grave is my favorite website of all. It is so warm, interesting, informative that I can't sing its praises highly enough. I will be forever grateful to Jim Tipton for creating this website! Wonderful and simple as the concept is--WHY DID SOMEONE NOT CREATE IT SOONER?
