Bio Photo Welcome 2016!!

As you can see I am still in Colorado (currently snowing and in the teens) and still dreaming of Oregon and its waterways, bridges, moss covered trees, and yes the rain.. I am looking forward to a possible trip back to Oregon later this year for at least a week.

I have worked with and enjoyed communicating with a number of great volunteers in both Colorado and Oregon and consider them my friends and FAG family. With that in mind this year has also brought me a few nasty volunteers that I have had to have FAG block from emailing me. Please if you are one of these move on no communication is required and leaves more time for me to help the ones that need and appreciate my help. Also, I don't believe I need help on how to load memorials – after over 50,000 memorials managed I think I have it down.

I enjoy helping people with finding and linking their families – investigating is in my blood. I also enjoy filling photo requests as you can tell by my over 2,500 currently taken. So if you need my help please let me know but please be considerate on the number asked at a time so I can help others who need my help. Also, if I tell you the grave is unmarked or the loved one was never buried at the cemetery, this was only brought to your attention after asking at least two people in the office and checking out the site myself to insure the information is accurate. I find I have a great working relationship with all the cemeteries I currently work with.

Transfers! If the name is Bolejack, Bolerjack, Pomeroy, Campbell, Deboard, Dickey, Hodges, Weddle, Francis, Braning, or Robinson – don’t bother asking. Or if I put a flower “ Family” – please don’t ask it just takes time away from what I am currently doing. With that said – I don’t believe in hording other volunteers family members. Sometimes it might take me a few days to answer but I do try and answer as quickly as possible. I also will not transfer when you have a proven history of poor updating and editing memorials skills. I believe that the loved one and their family members deserve someone that is prepared to take care of them.

Outside of FAG I am the proud grandmother of twin granddaughters and three grandsons. And if they don’t keep me busy enough I have two twin nephews and their brother that stop by to spread joy and the occasional cold.

Joseph R. Sheehy
Charles Sheehy
I reviewed your request for edit of Charles Sheehy's place of death. The newspaper obituary says he lived in Aspen but died in "Colorado General Hospital in Denver". After a quick Google search I found "Denver General Hospital" in Denver, Denver, Colorado, USA. I wanted to make sure you were certain he died in Aspen before I made the change.

Thank you for all of your help!

Thank you for your work locating and documenting the grave of William Sheehy and family. I have given you credit in their bio's for providing their plot numbers. I was surprised to see 4 names on 1 stone!

You write: I received a edit request to link Mary to Joseph Ray Massey but you already have them linked.

I question this link however because Joseph was 30 years older than Mary. Do you think this link is accurate?

The husband must have been sent thru the edit feature. You're right. 30 years is quite an age spread. That is a great feature if only it had the age of the person you are editing so that you could see it from the edit page. I removed Joseph Ray Massey as spouse. I will try to find the correct Ray.

Denver; R.W. Houghton, photo
Good morning, I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am working on a project to identify the last resting places of many of our "old soldiers" that had ties to Vt.From a F.A.G. memorial page I see you have contributed a photo to someone whose name of Houghton is inscribed on a lovely monument. Do you have a foot stone photo, or any inscription that states this Houghton is Ruthven W. Houghton? He is one of the soldiers I referred to.. If I can get documentation that it is, I would like to ask you if I could use it for the Vt. C.W. site. ( www.vermontcivilwar.org)

You would receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

Thanks so much for your time in finding info on her about her cremation.
