I have been interested in family history for most of my life, but didn't really start actively researching my genealogy until I was 23. I have been working on my family "web" for over ten years now and most of my research has been done online or at the library at Lewis & Clark College. I enjoy taking pictures, so volunteering on this site is a good fit for me. I currently live in St. Johns, in north Portland, Oregon.|
My family file is free to view on RootsWeb. My database is named kristi99. Some of the entries were created before I realized the importance of sources, so I am in the process of adding that information.

Thank you so very much for the gravesite photo of my grand uncle. He is buried in far away France and I am the only person alive that remembers him. I felt he was so alone there, instead of in the farmlands of Alabama where he belonged. It brought tears to my eyes to see the simple and beautiful cross that the military had placed for him. It was so very nice of you to take the photo for me. Thank you once again.
|Tony Chiofolo||Thank you so much.|

Thank you so much for the photo. No one in the family seems to have known of his marker thinking he went down with the ship.

Thanks so much for posting the photo of the memorial marker of Private Simpson. Would it be OK if I use the photo on his web page on Clemson University's Scroll of Honor Memorial website?https://cualumni.clemson.edu/scrollofhonor
