I believe in preserving the past. Everyone should know who their ancestors were. By adding to this site I hope to find and remember my ancestors and help others do the same. All that aside I love finding old graveyards. Something about them speaks to me. Weird-right!
I do my best to be as accurate as possible when creating a memorial. Any corrections are welcome. Also I am very picky about the photos I add but believe any picture is better than no picture at all. If you have a clearer shot of a headstone please send me a message and I will delete mine. Preserving our past by recording it is a huge task that will be accomplished best if we all work together.
If you would like to transfer a memorial please use the edit button. I will gladly transfer almost any of my memorials to family.

You attached what appears to be a Civil War military marker on the memorial for a man who died in 1816. I included his memorial number above. Unless I am wrong?

Thanks for adding the pictures. You are right, however, it is Cummings Cemetery. I added the is Grayson Co, Land of Rough. You will have to correct the ones you added. Thanks so much for your help!!

Hi Jeanette, thanks so much for the information that mine was a duplicate memorial for her. I forwarded the links I had and deleted my memorial. I appreciate you bringing this to my attention. I try not to duplicate but sometimes the filters on Find A Grave do not pull them all up. I'll try to be more careful in the future. Please feel free to bring any others to my attention. Linda

RE: Elizabeth Shown
I would link to one with more information, often see duplicate entries where person does not make requested links.

Thanks for the information on the Lanham's in Fordsville Cemetery. Anything else you would like to add or if you would like a transfer, just let me know. Do you know the relationship with Mary Sapp who is also on the headstone?
