Just a side note. In the plot identified where Susana Gourley is supposed to be. The sexton said his records show Clare Gourley.

RE: Multnomah Park burials
We have come across many death certificates that give the place of interment as Multnomah Cemetery. However, Lincoln Memorial Park opened in 1916 and many burials at Multnomah were moved to Lincoln.

Also, interment books for Multnomah are missing between 1900 to 1918 and the only record of the burials are either the markers themselves or death certificates.

It was not uncommon for earlier burials to be sold (the remains left in place) and another burial added to the grave. We know this happened with disturbing frequency at Multnomah during the time it was privately owned. Many burials from 1890 to 1918 do not appear in any record beyond the death certificate. Oregon required death certificates beginning in 1903 and the burial place was frequently left blank, adding to the mystery.

Confounding it is.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to manage this wonderful woman's site. I have already added the bio, but am going to get a good picture of Fay from her daughter. Thanks again.

RE: Arthur Dyson
thought the name was familiar. was not able to locate him. the office is not as helpful as it used to be for volunteers. I do go back and take newer photos from time to time. maybe I will find him at some point if he has a marker. he name is stuck in my mind.

RE: Evergreen in Oakland
Dyson sounds familiar. Did you have a request maybe a year ago and was he under 18? If so, I drove myself crazy because I kept thinking I had seen his marker, but never did find him. Just checked my files again and could not find Dyson. Do you have any idea the section he could be in? No problem to return and search the section. I do it routinely since I am sure many markers have been missed.

Rose B. Crouch
You put in a request for pics of Rose Crouch's grave. Her two sons Albert and Dale are all buried there right together along with Dale's wife Rebecca. Would you like pics of the other graves too?
It might be a couple more days before I get up there because we are recovering from an ice storm.

Thanks for passing him to me, you didn't have to. But I'll take good care of him. And when his family shows up, I'll pass him along to the ones that really know him.

Thank You - Allen Lukey Transfer

Thanks for transferring Allen Lukey's memorial to me. I will work on the bio and place him in his final resting place tomorrow. I do appreciate being able to do this.
