Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in Jackson, MS and graduated from Gulfport HS.

In 2003 after living in CA for 43 years my husband and I returned to Florence, MS to live.

I became interested in my family history during the early 1990's. As I searched for ancesters in old cemeteries I was saddened to see the neglect and damage to beautiful old headstones and monuments so when I became aware of find a grave I knew that this was something I wanted to do. I get great pleasure in photographing and recording cemetery markers for people on FAG.

The iron marker in my bio picture is in Greenwood Cemetery, Jackson's oldest cemetery and was made by Pearl River Foundrey owned and operated by a family member in the late 1800's.

I am happy to photograph headstones and post them to help complete memorials on this wonderful site. I must give credit and many thanks to my husband, Les for his help in searching for markers.

My Family names: Parker, Richardson, Winterstein, Switzer, Bell/Beall, Bradley, and Dorman. My husbands family names: Davenport, Arnold, Davis, and Stinson.

Kelly Winterstein
Grandfather Earl William Winterstein
Hi Fran, it's Kelly from Australia. I spoke to you via email last year regarding my Grandfather Earl William Winterstein (died 1953) - I need confirmation of his spouse as the records I have of who he was married too is different to what is being said on this website.

Many thanks, Kelly

RE: Charles Williams
Not a problem. Anybody who has been active on Find-a-Grave for any length of time has made that kind of mistake.

Charles Williams
Hi, Fran -- I added a page for Charles Williams to Find-a-Grave in 2005 but just deleted it because I saw that yours from 2012 had more info and pictures. I did go on and add one of my pictures of the marker to your page, though, and wanted to let you know in case you want to change the picture order on the page or in case you don't want it there at all (in which case let me know and I'll delete it).

Helena Winterstein Broussard
I was able to get a photo of Mrs. Broussard's grave site today. Unfortunately, there is no headstone. Is she a relative? I was able to get her death certificate and burial record from the Biloxi City Library and they are most interesting. If you would like a copy, send me your email or snail mail address to georgiemorton at msn dot com.

RE: Bobinger
You are so welcome! I got another of your classmates today, Lonnis Jowers. You didn't ask for him, but I was going to Fenley Cemetery anyway. I had previously taken a photo of his headstone for another purpose, to show where an unmarked grave is, between Lonnie and another man, but the photo I took at that time wasn't very good. I hope I got a better one this time. Haven't checked yet. I'll be posting it later. When it gets cooler I will try to get your Helena Broussard at Biloxi Cemetery. I've never tried Biloxi and it is intimidating but I'll give it a shot. Not going to claim it yet though. If I can help YOU, just let me know. I doubt I'll ever need anything from Jackson area, but I'll keep you in mind. We lived there about 13 years and retired from the VA Medical Center. One of us is following the other. I think I'm following you!! I'm originally from Bay St. Louis, but lived about 10 years in the D.C. area, 10 years in the Los Angeles area, 13 years in the Jackson area, now we've been here on the MS Gulf Coast 10 years again. I was missing some years there, but I forgot about 5 years in New Orleans. That's easy to forget. I don't even go there anymore!!

Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery, Jackson MS
OOOps! Just noticed that I put Jackson in MA instead of MS. Thanks for your reply, Fran. I have gone ahead & entered Lucia Barr Love in that cemetery - as well as her husband, Ismael Worth Love - so, there'll be two (shared stone, I think) to photograph. A nephew of hers has given me lots of info. to fill in this family. He said his grandfather had bought 8 spaces years ago - for him, his wife, the 3 daughters & their husbands - though, one daughter is buried in CA - so, there will be 2 remaining spaces. I think the parents are listed as being in Section 8, Lot 97, if that helps. Thanks, again! Your work taking these photos is greatly appreciated.
