I have been interested in family history for most of my life, but didn't really start actively researching my genealogy until I was 23. I have been working on my family "web" for twenty years now and most of my research has been done online or at local public libraries. I enjoy taking pictures, so volunteering on this site is a good fit for me. I currently live in Milwaukie, Oregon, southeast of Portland.

I am a member of the Parton Partin Partain Parten Ancestor DNA Project, which seeks to determine how we are all related to Robert "The Planter" Partin who survived the Starving Times at Jamestown. We use FamilyTreeDNA and GEDMatch to compare DNA profiles, and have a Facebook group page to share documents and discoveries.
