Karma: I note that you made the memorial for Annie Bittner and also took the photo of her grave marker at Milwaukie Pioneer Cemetery. I am a part of a group researching veterans WITHOUT grave markers. We believe Annie to be the wife of John Bittner 1848 0 1928. Are you related to, or know anything about, the Bittner family or Annies maiden name?

THANK YOU for your Find A Grave work and we hope to hear from you:)

Re: Josiah Shepardson, FAG# 110098361
I am not related to the Shepardsons. I reviewed the family info to try and figure out why I researched them. In that particular area it could be because they were linked to the Bronsons of Poolville or it could be that Esther was a "real daughter" of the American Revolution. I did find a tidbit that said:
"J. Hubbard Shepardson was born in Colchester, Conn., in 1802. He moved to Hamilton when five years of age; has therefore been a resident of this town for 78 years. He has been a voter for
62 years and has never missed voting at a town meeting or an election since he became of age. He seems quite proud of declaring he has never voted a democratic ticket. Published in the Brookfield Courier, 1885".
Now since the Josiah we are talking about was born in 1832, could the Josiah born in 1802 be his father. I don't know.
FYI, if you are researching New York state residents a good free site is This site has old newspapers on it.
Sorry, I could not be of more assistance.

Thank you for the additions to Roy's memorial. Now, if I can just find where his wife is buried, I can get them linked.

Thanks for taking the time and filling this request. Much appreciated. Oregon is a long way from Cape Cod.
