Bio and Links
Bio Photo Please let me know if you find a mistake or something I can add to a memorial. While I have walked many a cemetery, I get most of my information from historic books/obit's/bio's and newspaper articles. The newspapers were not so concerned with correct spelling or dates, and some of the tombstones themselves are hard to while I try the best I can to be accurate, I do make typo's and admit...Im not perfect.

If you would like me to transfer a memorial to you for one of your friends/loved ones, let me know, I will be glad to. I am not interested in giving memorials for the purpose of numbers, if they are close to you I don't mind, if you just want someone else to do the work for you, I do.

The reason I love Find A Grave is:
When I was a little girl my grandfather was a grave digger. He used to pick me up and take me with him, getting to the cemetery at dusk, as back then you dug the graves by hand, equipment was a no-no. He taught me to respect a cemetery.
Its the last place and the last chance for the person who has passed have someone remember them.
He taught me to think about that little dash between the birth and death date. That tiny little dash represents the persons entire life.
It doesn't tell you if they were a parent, if they had hardships, if they were rich or poor, but it shows that they lived on earth and were loved by someone.
My friends thought I was crazy to go with him to help dig graves at night, he would say, "no one in here can hurt you, it's the one's outside this place that can".
We need to preserve our cemetery's....the final records of our life.
I consider everyone's life important and even tho I don't know most of the folks I have entered God knows them, and their life means something to Him. I hope this helps their family and friends, and future generations, who can log on to FAG and find out a little genealogy.
FAG gives a voice to those who are not in the history books, or the sports records, they let us put our family, the true hero's of our past who make us what we are, or will become in the future, out there for the world to see and honor.

I thank God for saving me, blessing me with the hope of Heaven, and giving us Jesus and the Holy Spirit....where would any of us be without Him?

If you would take a minute to visit my uncle Nathan

and cousin who were both killed in Korea, it would mean the world to me:

Quick clarification; the father's name was Ronald, not Donald, Dumond.

What info do you have on the cause of death of this 4YO child? I am pretty sure he was tortured to death by a parent who got away with it.

In 1966, as a tiny infant he was taken to the hospital with numerous breaks in his tiny arms and legs. His father, Donald Dumond, claimed that he had "fallen from a bed" but was not believed and was charged and convicted. Unfortunately, the perpetrating father only got 1 year in the county workhouse as a sentence for inflicting those horrific injuries on his kid.

Then a bit more than 3 years later, the kid is dead and buried, in a different county.

I can't find an obit for this kid, a cause of death, nothing. Typical of that time in history where parents often got away with murdering their kids.

Could you please email me at I would like to get to the bottom of this.

Thank you kindly,

Andrea Olmanson

In regards to #28217431....... I have one from yrs. ago, b.1831 who md. a Mary "Polly" Ellis (b,1835) of VA on 1-10-1855 in then Logan Co., VA and who had six kids between 1841 and 1859 ...... Do you know if he was md. twice.... or were all the supposed 20 kids from one wife? For in the 1860 Logan Co., VA census he was 38 yrs. old, and md. to a Polly Ellis.... so if he had a 2nd. wife, would you know when they got md....... thanks, Scott Trent - VA
