First, I would like to thank you for all the time and effort you have put into providing cemetery information for those of us who can't travel to all the places we would like. I notice that in 2013 someone else had asked you to change the information for Dora Mattie Haygood Carnes, Mount Ida Cemetery, Brantly, Crenshaw, Alabama.I would like to make additional suggestions. 1. I haven't seen her middle name or initial on any documents so far. Therefore, I question the Mattie shown 2. The headstone is inscribed with the birth date of Oct. 25, 1875 - you have transcribed as Aug. 9, 1888 3. Although her name is inscribed Dora you can find her death information both on Ancestry and FamilySearch under Eudora Haygood Carnes 4. On this document it lists her parents as John Haygood and Elizabeth Williamson. Just as further clarification you can find Eudora in the 1880 census with her parents J. H. and M.A. in the 1880 Crenshaw census.

Donnie, you might want to take another look at what you have on Earl Watson Gardner. He was not killed in the Philippines. His submarine was lost in a training exercise off the coast of Hawaii. His boat went down in water too deep to make recovery possible.
His name is commemorated on an monument to USS S-28 in the National Cemetery in Hawaii.
Your Find A Grave memorial is a duplicate of Find A Grave 65477482 where his memorial grave marker is displayed.

Thanks so much for the work you have done. Much appreciated. My great-grandfather was DeWitt Ellis. I was thrown off course when you listed his mother as Mary Jane White. She was the second wife of Benjamin Franklin Ellis and no relation to my line. DeWitt's mother was Martha Prince Ella Warren, the first wife of Benjamin Ellis. My grandmother's name was Ella Mae Ellis. She was the second child out of 11 of DeWitt Ellis and Fannie Bell Lindsey Ellis. Thanks!

It appears you have duplicated my memorial and posted my photo without my permission. This is very much frowned upon by the Find A Grave administrators. I would have gladly added the information (giving you full credit) if you had only asked. I am respectively requesting that you not only delete my photo but delete your memorial, as well. If you would like, I will add the bio to mine. I know you do good work for this site. Thank you for considering my requests.

Have you joined a lineage society via your relationship to John Thomas Bonner? His sister Sarah is my direct ancestor. I am already in the DAR but wanted to also connect with Colonel Thomas Bonner.
