I'm also seeing another James Higgs associated with Benjamin F. Higgs, with mother, Evaline.
Benjamin shows up in 1860 with W.H. Higgs and wife Evaline. In 1870, he and Jimmie appear "shipped out" on a neighboring farm. In 1880, they are sons of the widowed Evaline...so...it may be another James.
Though they are all probably related...small towns, right? ha | | | The Mikado, et al.

I think she may have been the sister of James Higgs, who married Nancy Cullom in NC...

I think all you have to do is change the name of the cemetery. Then a headstone photo can be requested. I am happy to maintain the memorial and make the changes if you wish.
I am not related. I do research for a friend of mine and think Sarah might be a step-sister to her great grandfather. I'm pretty sure this is the correct Sarah Carpenter but not 100% sure. | | | Tiff
