Bio and Links
Bio Photo Iím the oldest daughter of Donald and Mary Bickel, but didnít live with them growing up. I grew up with my fatherís mother and stepfather.

I've been doing genealogical research since 1999 and I'm always adding and updating my records. I look forward to connecting with relatives that I haven't even heard of yet! I have family trees on two websites.

I live near Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. and I will take pictures for you. Weather permitted. You have my permission to use my photos of Headstones in your own family tree.

Feel free to contact me with corrections, additional information, I'll be happy to help if I can.

If you are a direct relative of any of the persons I have posted contact me and I will gladly transfer the posting to you (if I am not more closely related to them).

These are my family lines I am currently researching (w/variant spellings):Bickel, Mena, Machen, Reischel, Rennhak, Thurman, Kenney, VanHolsbeke, Bonnin, Bangham and Mosley.

Only the person who controls the memorial can delete it.

We can do either of three ways.
If Mike is unable to add the cemetery with location, I could add the info to the one I created, and then he would delete his site.

He could use the pictures I took and add to his site and I would delete the one I created.

I could transfer the site to either of you and you could combine and then delete one. I think it would be better if one of you had control of the site as he was one of your relatives.

RE: Cemetery Lookup
Click Cemetery Lookup on the left hand side of this webpage, where it says "COUNTRY" click England. Add name of Cemetery... I just tried it and it worked for me.

Hi Laurie,

Actually, I didn't receive your first message, but no worries or inconveniences and nothing to be sorry about, we are all still learning, just at different rates and stages!

Have a terrific rest of the week!

Are you looking for a specific headstone?

This cemetery is on 131st Street east of Southwest Highway. I grew up in the town just east of Palos Park and my mother still lives there. I'll try to find the grave the next time I'm in town.
