|Lindie Lahiff||Info on Memorial #28411274|
Hi. I just received a notice of more record matches (Ancestry), and came across a marriage of a relative I had not known about...but it all checks out.
Memorial #28411274 is the same as a memorial for Julia P. Howe (#36997291) under which she is buried in Striker Cemetery (see photo on that memorial). I thought you might want to add a note to your memorial? On Ancestry I just found that after the death of her first husband, Leander Howe, she re-married John S. Pursell. He was the informant on her death certificate. They were married 25 Apr 1891, second marriage for both. Julia died 14 MAR 1906 in Blendon, Ottawa Co, MI. (also where John listed as his home)
Julia had lived in Baltimore, MI (Now Baltimore township, in Hastings, Barry Co., MI) I am related to Julia, but not the caretaker of her other memorial.

I have his death certificate and it states that his father was Milton Willard Newton and his mother was Lucy Ann Smith. He and his brother Chester Howard Newton married sisters, Josie Bell and Juanita Howard the daughters of Andrew Monroe Howard and May (last name unproven). Rhodene Frederick
Viola Scott is my 3rd GGrandmother would you mind transferring her to me? Thanks, Teresa :)

Thank you SO much for the transfer of Marcella (Liberty) Stewart's memorial! .. & for adding the parent links I sent. I've just now added what I could & will take good care of her :)

It appears that this memorial is a duplicate to # 16815511.
From my research she is the wife of Alfred F. Smith #16815246, as seen on his tombstone picture.
The plot location that you give for her is right next to him.
Just thought I'd let you know.
Thanks for all of your great work for Find A Grave

thanks for adding bio info so quickly. I sent a few edits and links to your edits tab for this family and appreciate your making memorials for them and linking to one another.

Hello EM, thanks for adding bio info...I also sent some other edits for Matthias to you and wonder if you know of any burial listings for this Cemetery. I think his wife Rachel Sigler Chase is likely buried here with him. I thought she died in 1873 however now I think that was a different Rachel Sigler perhaps. IF you have any other info on burials in Striker, would be immensely appreciated! thanks!

Thank you for the quick transfer of my great grandmother, Edna Jane Wells Redfearn. We appreciate your work on her memorial.

I question that Norman N. Latham is buried at Striker Cemetery as opposed to Dowling Cemetery where an image of his gravestone can be found as well as the gravestone of his second wife (Mary Ann Fulton) and their son John G. Latham. Norman Latham's first wife was Eliza -- she is listed by you at Striker although no photograph of grave. Norman Latham's daughter by his second wife (e.g.Nellie Latham Fancher, wife of David Gilbert "Bert" Fancher appears to be buried at Striker Cemetery (photographs of gravestone posted).
|AMB||Thank you again :-)|
Please check your memorial for Mary Ellen (Smith) Hufford, found here:
This is to thank you again, for a find that allowed an entire family to be "reunited" once more via findagrave. Without the information that you first added (which has been added to since), her story would have been lost. It took *MAJOR* genealogical researching and puzzling to put her story together, but the initial info that you added at findagrave was the key.
Now, I've learned that she had seven (not just six!) children, and been able to find them all and get them linked to their mother. Each child had a little bit of her story. With her death, most of the children scattered.
Again, thank you!
