Originally from northwestern New Jersey, I have lived in Central Texas since 1970. I'm retired and enjoy my children and grandchildren. |
I have been with Find A Grave a few years and have made many friends all over the world and in my home area. What a joy that has been!!
We have a group of FindAGravers in the Central Texas area that come together once a month for lunch and a gabfest. All members welcome, so please drop me a note to be added to our list for notification of time and place.
Enjoy being able to help others make family connections and any other information I can find for them.
My own personal heritage lines: Winter, Randolph, Kostenbader, and Osmun.
My favorite animal pals are BBit and Sugar Baby (cats). My companion, Rascal, also a cat, crossed the Rainbow Bridge at 17 years of age on May 28, 2014. A part of me went with him.
Please feel free to contact me at my e-mail address or "edit" tab on a memorial, instead of posting requests on my member page.
You may use my pictures for other projects, but please give proper credit when doing so.
Kindly do not place death certificates or newspaper obits on any of my memorials. Rather, send me an "edit" and I will be more than happy to add the information to the memorial's bio. I prefer to utilize the picture area for markers and photos as originally intended.
Info in the flowering portion of my memorials will be reported to FG Admin for removal.

|David Sifford||Dawson County Cemetery|
I must admit that I've fallen behind in my work at this cemetery. The vast majority of the listing I did were done the old fashioned way: walking the grounds and taking pics. I probably have done about half of the cemetery, so there is still a lot of work to be done. Be careful of adding any new names. Several sources that I have come across show only one cemetery in Lamesa when in fact, there are two: Dawson County and Lamesa Memorial. I've seen too many names added to Lamesa Memorial that belong in the other cemetery. The two are located side by side and have no clear cut boundary, no signage for Dawson County, thus the confusion for those not familiar with this area. If you have a DC that says "Lamesa" as the burial place, odds are they are in the Dawson County Cemetery. Lamesa Memorial opened in the late 1940's. Let me know if I can be of any help.

Thank you for looking for a headstone for William Moore. We also appreciate you takings do posting a picture of his unmarked grave. I will pass this along to his close relatives in hopes of creating some interest in marking his grave. Have a great Christmas.

Thanks Dee! I have completed my virtual cemetery list for the '53 tornado victims and now I am trying to get photos for all of them. I found nine in Waco memorial and I have plots for 5 so far. I try to only ask for a few at a time when I call them so I should have them all located next week.
Thanks for the info, its been updated.

No marker for Mary found, the upright marker shown is for Charles, the flat one is for Franklin D Coleman(a son perhaps)
I don't have a photo of her grave marker and I really do not live that close to this cemetery so I don't know if there is one. I am sure since you requested a photo some one closer can get it for you. Also you may have to wait until next spring for the photo winter has started to make its appearance here and hardly anyone goes out in the cemeteries around here in the winter to get photos in northern Minnesota cause we have so much snow and it gets so cold.

I do not know much about Mary. I was able to find her maiden name but that is about all I can help you with.
