Bio and Links
Bio Photo My mother, Norita Helen Timmer, was responsible for introducing me to genealogy as a girl. After she died when I was 16, I put it on the shelf but in my 20s took it up again.

Below are locations and surnames that are of great genealogical interest to me.

Stearns County, Minnesota:
Timmer, Flottemesch, Westkaemper, Kulzer, Dirkes, Thoennes, Heinen, Wengeler, Reller, Richter, Lenarz, Baggenstoss, Philliper, Lakmann, Pfau and many more.

Humboldt County, Iowa:
De Groote, Meijer, Ketman, Pavey, Meranda, Britt, Eernisse, De Smidt, Schreuder/Shroeder, Bartley, Tellier, Ferris, and many more.

Hamilton County, Ohio:
Strong, Meranda, Moak, Stites, Newland, etc.

Carroll County, Missouri:
Johnson, Jones, Struck, Cox, Young, Key, Woolsey, Crumpley, Christie

RE: Inappropriate Advertisement
No one hand-approves ads. We use several third-party advertising companies. We take measures to not run offensive ads (risqué ads, violent games, etc.) but we have never heard from anyone opposed to a political ad. I don't think the advertisers even have a filter for that, but I'll check.

I live out in Washington state, but have come back to IA and OH to do Moak and related research. I'm just now trying to get my tombstone photos attached in Find A Grave and trying to get biographical stuff up. It's always nice to find others who are following the same lines!

RE: Evert Meyer
Hi,
How are you related to these people? Where are you located. I need to find graves in Iowa and California. Let me know if there are anymore you need.

John Curry Jones
Hello,
Thank you for being willing to take John's tombstone photo. Carol was a good friend of John's and when I talked to her a few years ago she did not know the exact location of John's grave. She said it was too painful to go to his grave. It seems that until I get back to Iowa I will not be able to have a photo of his tombstone. Thank you for the information on Eldora Cemetery

Johanna
It says she was married to a Disney. My Grammie told us she had a cousin related to the Disney family. However Johanna died at birth.

RE: Christina Timmer Westkaemper
Is that Spring Hill Cemetery in St. Michael, Wright County?

According to the 1900 Census, Christina had 10 children, with 6 living as of 07 Jun 1900. So it is possible that she isn't buried in this cemetery with that child. According to what I've found, there are four children/infants buried somewhere in MN... including Johanna who died in 1892.

RE: Christina Timmer Westkaemper
I posted a page for her & Johanna in St. John's Cemetery in Meier Grove, MN as I believe this is where the family lived in June 1900. According to the 1900 Census, they were living in Grove Township in Stearns County.

Thanks,

Leigh

Christina died in MN on 26 Jan 1901. Do you happen to know where she is buried?
