Photo: Standing behind our family Patriot - Thomas Durfee, Esq. with my daughter and "cemetery buddy" Tara.|
Findagrave is such a valuable tool and helped me while researching for my DAR application. I had no idea where my Patriot, Thomas Durfee was buried until someone posted a photo on findagrave. We just HAD to go visit the site for ourselves!
I am willing to do photo requests anywhere in Rhode Island.
I initially began taking photos of ancestors, but have enjoyed adding others as well to this website.

I'd like to thank you for the Salisbury photos submitted to Find a Grave. I've never made a request before and did not think I would get such quick results. Thanks again!
Thank you for documenting these old graves of Alba and his wife Sarah Parker. Thank you for your time walking the cemetery and uploading the photographs.

THANK YOU for taking the time to take this photo and upload it to Find-A-Grave. Richard was my 3G-Grandfather.

Sorry for the belated response. Your Hudson question led me back to another family and then another -- which needed some additional research. You know how that goes.
Anyway, five of the six Hudsons in Woodland Cemetery are Colvin-connected. I don't believe Jessie Hudson Brown is one of ours -- but I've been wrong many times before.

Julie, I knew you were not a relative; I just wanted your opinion on my logic and documentation. I find it always helps to have an outside view of one's reasoning - :)
Yes, it is okay to post my sources and name and thank you for asking. You might also mention that this John Garnsey/Guernsey is my 7th Grt. Grandfather. I, and my cousin Dallas McColley, have done a lot of research on this line & those it involves.
Regarding the spelling of his name; there seems to be a number of variations - Garnsey, Gearnsey, Guernsey,Garnsy,& others - probably depending on who was writing it down and what they thought they heard. Sometimes you will find two different spellings in the same document referring to each other.
Thanks for all your input - I hope, together, we have helped others with this line. (There are 4 John Garnsey/2 with wives named Elizabeth in this line) Lanita
