NOTE: Most picts I've done since June 2014 have been done from my car as walking is too much for me and some places are not for the electric wheelchair - so I get what I can - ANY picture is better than no picture, considering how much stones seem to deteriorate today - PLEASE redo these distant picts and let me know, so I can remove the bad ones.. TIA (Find A Grave will notify me, so you won't have to. They will notify me that the request has been filled!!)|
I started photographing picts w/film camera back in 1998.. mostly of my own ancestors but that quickly went by the wayside when my husband bought me my first digital camera, then came external hard drives, well all you "old timers" for 'Find a Grave' know the rest of the story..
I am unable to do much any more and have FINALLY started up loading my picts, very few scans, mostly digital... My folks got me interested in Genealogy back in the late 1940's but didn't get very heavily into it until the early 90's - I've worked my LEE line back to the immigrant in the mid 1600's and have most LEEs(not ALL) lines back to my 1st Generation on this side of the water, up to abt 2001... then when the grandkids were getting too old to hang at the house, I'd pack them and cameras in the car... the older ones helped w/picture taking.. now I'm down to one challenged grandson and me in w/c...
If I add a pict to your Memorial, check to see if I added note. IF I've made mistake (typos happen) in transcribing or if you don't want that extra info, PLEASE let me know and I will remove it ASAP.
I have a lot of photos from the oldest cemeteries - oldest Memorials in my home town of Cumberland, RI, which I am slowly getting onLine, 99% are added now..
IF I post a line you are chasing, let me know and I will willingly/gladly transfer management, IF it is IN a cemetery ALREADY completed.. Please send additional info via the Edit in the upper RIGHT of each persons page, you want info added to. Please include sources AND you will be given credit for all you send that I add for you..
I have met, be it in person or onLine, in my past searching travels (in the LEE, PECK & CARPENTER Genealogy lines & cemetery photos), you know who you are.. Thank you....
A lot of my picts have extended into MA and I would love to thank "Massachusetts Vital Records Project" (ma-vitalrecords.org)(It is Free onLine) by compilers of "Tan Books" and Rehoboth by JN Arnold & translated into computer language by John Slaughter and his helpers along the way.. for allowing me to add VR info to some pages.. great work John for doing all that you have done!!
I do try to answer SAC's promptly - IF I haven't done your request or inquiry within 2 wks, DO please remind me...
When I send you Locations of certain graves, please add to the page you have put up - IT IS NOT FOR MY BENEFIT BUT FOR THOSE WHO COME LATER.. I already know where these people are, Let's PLEASE help those who follow us...
Must give credit where credit is due:
Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh and blood and bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own
Dear Ancestor. the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so
I wonder how you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you.

You're very welcome. Sally is indeed a distant relative of mine--specifically, the wife of my 4th cousin 7x removed, Jared Benson.

Glad to see the cemetery map, too! Wish more cemeteries had these posted. Is there any way to request that the map be move UP in the list of photos for the cemetery so that it would be immediately visible to anyone visiting the page??
Happy New Year... trying to stay warm here in God's country!

Greetings, Carolyn. I just finished scanning the entire "Old Home Week Uxbridge" book and added the bios to any Find a Grave memorials I could find. A handful were already at the five-photo limit, so I couldn't post, but otherwise, I am happy to report that I found homes for... oh 90% or so of the images/bios in the book.
Hope your 2015 is happy and productive. I haven't been to visit my family in Prospect Hill for quite some time, so hope to plan a visit there in the spring.

No, I'm not related. Just posting some pics of the cemetery here in my home town and adding some relatives. Thanks!

I'm sorry -who did I ask you for a transfer for?

I do not except memorial pages back after I transfer them and additional information has been added. If you do not wish to except the transfer I will delete all additional information
