I am a avid ancestry buff and take immense pleasure in connecting the past to the present. I am in awe of some of the many trials and tribulations many of my ancestors endured during their lifetime.|
I also find that the mothers side of the family seems to get forgotten in history and that we have many more family members out there that we have never met.
I enjoy exploring the many local cemeteries and feel very sad when I find many of them neglected and in very poor condition and it frustrates me that much history is being forgotten due to the neglect.
So, if I can preserve even a little bit of the past with others by taking photographs of their loved ones, then it is my pleasure to help. I have no issues in sharing any photo that I have taken and if you wish to have a photo personally emailed to you, send me a message. Credit of the photo taken is greatly appreciated.

No problem with the transfers. Just send me a request from each memorial if you would.

Hi Joyce! Thanks you for your great Photo work!
I would like to ask a favor from you in the future. If you could refrain from writing in your captions a stone is "not there", when it is likely just in need of a recovery effort because it's under the ground from years of not having regular maintenance, that would be awesome.
Specifically I saw this on our family's Civil War casualty John A Matteson's memorial Find A Grave Memorial# 8646812 , and also his grandmother Dorcas (Chapman) Matteson's Find A Grave Memorial# 8646762 in the Matteson Family Cemetery.
This gives the impression that actual recorded burials that have been verified thru transcription did not happen, when they did.
Do you kind of see what I mean? You could simply say you were unable to see the stone that was recorded previously by transcribers.
Thanks for your consideration and also for your volunteer work taking these lovely photos. It is appreciated by many.

Thank you very much for the photo of my old Navy friend Bob Rau's monument.
I saw your message in the bio section of the memorial page and wanted to share the following article I came across just a few minutes ago. Maybe you have seen it?
Part of the article:
The revelations come as two men were arrested over the theft of bronze grave markers from a different Rhode Island cemetery and allegedly selling them for scrap.
Robert Haney, 39, and Michael Gilligan, 32, are charged with conspiracy and receiving stolen property over $20,000 worth of bronze markers, also used to mark the graves of veterans.
Police say the items were stole on June 18, and they were alerted to the theft by scrap dealers who bought the metal
