Bio Photo Photo: Standing behind our family Patriot - Thomas Durfee, Esq. with my daughter and "cemetery buddy" Tara.

Findagrave is such a valuable tool and helped me while researching for my DAR application. I had no idea where my Patriot, Thomas Durfee was buried until someone posted a photo on findagrave. We just HAD to go visit the site for ourselves!

I am willing to do photo requests anywhere in Rhode Island.
I initially began taking photos of ancestors, but have enjoyed adding others as well to this website.

Bachman monument

By any chance do you have a full length photo of the Solomon Bachman monument in Newburyport -
20873483. I realize the inscriptions wouldn't be able to be read.

capy john martin & mary molly reed martin
Hi, some info on them: Page 69 of Book 1 of the Bristol, RI, records has this entry:
John Martin of Barrington and Mary Read of Bristol were married November 12,
1741, (The Barrington VRs spell Mary's name "Reede"). And Mary is now "of
Bristol" and no longer of Abington, having resided in her mother and
step-father's home for two years. Mary Reed, the daughter of John Reed and
Mary Wheeler, was born December
21, 1719. Mary (Reed) Martin and John Martin are buried at Tyler's Point
Cemetery in Barrington. The inscriptions read:
John Martin died Dec 28, 1801 Aged 85 Years
Molly Martin His wife Died 1774 in her 55th year.
As you can see, this puts her at the exact age that Mary (#938) Reed,
daughter of Mary (Wheeler) and John Reed should be.

Capt. Job George Lawton
Thank you for all the info on the Captain. Your work helped me confirm connections for my direct ancestor, his half brother, William Henry Lawton.
