I stumbled upon this site while doing family history research. I have entered quite a few family members, both on my husband's side and my side of the family, and also lots of unrelated folks. |
If I've entered your close relative or friend and you'd like to take over editing privileges for their memorial, please use the "Edit" tab on the upper right of the memorial page to request a transfer (choose "Suggest a correction..."). Send corrections and/or additions the same way, if you don't want to edit it yourself.
If you are related to SHORT, HOSMER, BURLINGAME, TENNANT, TRIPP, FOSTER, SLATER, HOSMER, BRIZZEE, BEACH or MEEKER, mostly from upstate/western NY or north/central PA, please give me a holler. You might be related to my husband.
My surnames are: RAUTIO, WOERNLEY, CLARK, PULKINEN, RAHN, and HERRNECKAR. They are all upstate/central NY, ranging from Utica to Buffalo down to the Pennsylvania line. Please give me a holler if those names look familiar. RAUTIO and PULKINEN were originally from Finland in 1915. HERRNECKAR, RAHN and WOERNLEY were Germans, and came to the Utica area in the 1850s to 1860s.
If you see a gravestone photo I've taken and would like the original for personal use, please email me. I upload cropped photos to this site but keep most of the original high-resolution (2048x1536 or larger) originals.

Thank you for the transfer of J T Aughtman, much appreciated.
|Geoff Baggett||Sarah, too!|
I could use the same info for his wife, Sarah Montgomery Burlingame. Is there a tombstone that could be photographed, of just cemetery records?
|Geoff Baggett||Thomas Burlingame Burial|
What is your record for the burial of Thomas Burlingame / death on 8/24/1842? I am working on an SAR app for a couple of Burlingame guys here in Kentucky, and we need an actual record of death for Thomas. WOuld appreciate any help you could offer!
|Q M||Ooops! I think I've got it.|
Ooops! I think I've got it. Is the Mary Ann Nichols Short married to Uriah, and is the aunt of Mary Ann Nichols, daughter of Simeon Nichols and Easter Fairbanks? If so, who was the wife of Simeon, the son of Caleb? Do you know?

|Q M||Confused About Simeon and Mary Ann Nichols|
Hello, I'm confused about which Mary Ann belonged to which Simeon Nichols. Your generous photo shows a Mary Ann Nichols who died at 21 and was the daughter of Simeon Nichols (son of Caleb Nichols) and Easter Fairbanks. But Uriah Short's info on findagrave says Mary Ann, his wife, was daughter of Simeon Nichols who arrived in the area with his father Simeon, and later lists Mary Ann as a SISTER of Simeon who married Easter Fairbanks. The 1855 NY census shows Simeon with his second wife, Mercy, living with his FATHER Simeon - not Caleb. The history of Owego book says Simeon who married Easter was the son of Caleb, not Simeon. Could you please clear this up for me? I'm so confused! :-)

|Doris Wyss||Nelson Wayne Robbins|
Thank you for posting Nelson' memorial and t.s. photo. I would like your permission to post the photo on ancestry.com. Please let me know if this would be okay. I would of course, credit the photo to you. Thanks again, Doris
|Vivian Short-Eubank||Lewis F. Short|
Lewis F. Short is my granfather. I am the daughter of Douglas Short...thanks for posting his obituary, I was wondering what his age was when he passed away.
|Debi Morris||Picture useage|
Thank you for sharing pictures on Find A Grave. May I use the picture you have posted for the Palm Cemetery, in Orange County, Florida in my personal family tree file? I have started using grave marker & cemetery pictures to note the final resting place of members of my family tree. Cemetery pictures help in finding the correct cemetery. I will so note that the picture is from: Find A Grave Contributor: Catnip82 #46771427
Thank you again for your time & effort, I do appreciate it very much.
|Lynne Slagle||Headstone for Delphine Miller|
Hi, My name is Lynne Miller Slagle. I just noticed that you have added a photo of a headstone on my mother's memorial. Unfortunately, it is not her headstone. It belongs to a member of the Romeo family. Would you please remove this photo if you can.
