I'm very pleased I could contribute. God Bless
The national database does not show Robert being at this cemetery. And the list grave site section 19, plot 2338 is a John Williams.

Hello Mr Adams, It was my pleasure to be able to help you with your request. I just added another photo to Mr. Stackley's memorial. There was a large monument above his headstone with the name Stackley. I had a photo with both his headstone and the monument in it, but the name on the monument was kind of dark. So I cropped it and adjusted the lighting to try and make it more legible. Please let me know if I can ever assist you again.
Have a great day,
|Joan Buchanan West||RE: Fleming Family|
Oh, I almost fainted when I read your mail to me. Ruben Fleming is my great grandfather. His son Riley Alexander Fleming married Mary Delaney Millie Jemima Frances Doni HARRISON Fleming and they had six children. She was called Doni.
BUT, I have been unsuccessful in finding where Ruben is buried or when he died. I do know he was at my grandfather Riley's funeral in January of 1926. I paid to have a search done of the entire state of Alabama for his death date and burial place. According to them they have nothing on him at all. This led me to believe he might, just might, be buried in Florida. But I don't know. According to my grandmother Ruben's first wife was Mary Ann Adams who is Riley alexander Fleming's mother. After Mary Ann died he married another Mary Ann (could be that this one was called Mary but her name was really Margaret, which would not be uncommon).
In all these years of searching you are the first person to inquire about my great grandfather and this thrills me beyond words.
May I ask your interest and are you connected in any way to Ruben. I am assuming his middle name is most likely Alexander. Please do reply to me:
Went by St. Lawrence Cemetery and was able to take the photo's that you requested. I have posted them to the Memorial page.

I was glad to do it for you. There is one marker that is covered by a huge azalea that I could not clear enough to take a picture or read. As soon as I can I will get that one too (when the snakes go away). Nancy

Thanks much for the kind words. It's my husband that is the considerate photographer and I'll pass along this note. I keep trying to get him to take the credit but, as you can see on my profile, he does all the work and gives me all the credit. We were delighted to be able to help out.
