I have seen the Find a Grave website during my online travels looking for family members. However one member named Robin Lee touched me deeply when she uploaded a picture of my mother's grave. My mother died very young and was in TN, I am in So. FL. I don't go north that often and it seems each time I have been to my mother's grave I wasn't able to take a picture, last time it was pouring down rain and I was on my way to my father's service and wouldn't be able to go back to this cemetery. So finding the picture here meant a lot to me. It brought tears to my eyes and still does when I look at it and can see it clearly. I hope I can help others find their family members.
The family names that I am researching are Starrett / Clark / Kagley (my father's family) and Crisp / Borden / Malcolm (my mother's family). Any help on this is always appreciated.
I was given a bulk transfer of about 1500 or so memorials that are located in and around Maryville, TN. I have been transferring these memorials as a request comes in. If you see your family members and there are more than 5 of them it is easier for me to do the transfers if you create a virtual cemetery on your profile using DebStarrett as the name. When you go through and find your family members please add them to this virtual cemetery. Then email me that you have them in this cemetery and I will make the transfers as long as they are not relatives of mine (if there is a husband/wife and you are related to one and I am related to the other keep in mind I will only transfer the one you are related to). Doing transfers of these memorials this way has worked out well and I have transferred a lot of these memorials to family members this way. When you email me please tell me your closest relationship to one of the group (GGG Grandfather for instance) as I will only make these transfers to family members.
As a rule I will not publish any news articles or obits on my memorials due to copyright. The only time that I will do this is on a direct family member of mine.
If there are changes that need to be made on any memorial that I have posted please let me know. I do not have a problem with transferring memorials to active family members of the findagrave website. I am not a "collector" of people. I am doing this so that hopefully relatives will be able to find loved ones and be able to add the information on their family trees. I also do not have a problem with someone using the headstone pictures that I have taken for their personal files.
I also want to let people know if you just happened across this site, if there is a memorial for an immediate family member and you do not want it on here, it is the policy of the web site to remove it. All you have to do is ask. Ask the person that put it up or go right to an admin and ask. Either way it will be removed.
Delena Schnieders This is for the photo request you have submitted for a memorial at Glen Haven Memorial in Winter Park Florida. Due to the size of cemetery a garden/ section and if plot # is available is needed. The office will not help unless contacted by family member. It would be my honor to photograph it with at least the garden/section info Please call Phone: (407) 647-1100. When you get the info let me know and I will take care of it soon as possible. Thanks, Sharon
Graves and research Sorry to bother you again, but have you ever come across a grave yard in Blount County that has the name, Nancy Longley? Her maiden name was Long, and her husband was James Longley. She was born in 1804 and died in 1850 or possible a year or two later. I have researched for years, she is suppose to be buried in Blount Co., but I have never found her final resting place. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you and have a nice evening.
Dorothy Daniels Zentz I have a very nice obituary for Dorothy. I read that you do not post them on your memorials. I will be glad to e-mail it to you. You can reach me at TMBJSchwartz@yahoo.com Thank you, Barb
