This photo was from when we unearthed my 4x great grandfather's and grandmother's headstones after cleaning up the overgrown McCormick cemetery outside of Rowland, NC.
Feel free to contact me for photo requests in the Tallahassee area. I also often travel to Dothan, AL, Panama City, FL, and Tifton, Albany, and Valdosta, GA if you need assistance near those areas.
It is my goal to accurately add as many photos and memorials as I can in my general area. I do this by correctly locating and identifying the cemeteries, and then using census records to verify and link the memorials.
I have been to over 150 area burial sites and hope to register many of them with the state's Department of Historical Resources.
If you want to use my pictures for your own website, go right ahead! I also am trying to add and link my ancestors, including Wright, Atkinson, Carmichael, Harrelson, McCormac, and McCormick on my father's side, and Ingalls, Kinne, Ayer, Hayden and Collins on my mother's side.
Wilma Stone Hello Andy, There is no record for Wilma Stone being buried at Oakdale Cemetery. The office doesn't have a record for David Webber as well. They informed me that there's no one with the last name Stone buried there. There is however a record for their son David W. Webber. Norman
RE: Maud Turk Webb Cannon Dear Andy, I don't recall if I ever thanked you properly for the photo of my great aunt Maud's headstone, so am doing so now. I want you to know it is greatly appreciated considering I'm on the West Coast and have never been further East than the Continental Divide when I was at Glacier National Park in Montana back in 1991. It is a great act of kindness and you've now photographed two headstones for me. Blessings be yours. Take care. With All Sincerity, Kathie L. Webb Blair, Portland, Oregon
Pansy Webb Fisher Dear Andy, I can't thank you enough for the great photos of my great auntie's headstone in Georgia, where so many of my father's family have been laid to rest. I never met my great aunt, but I was able to meet her daughter, Patricia Osgood, when I was very young; I remember her name and that my mother kept up a correspondence with her for many years. Until I created my family's tree, I never knew the connections of so many people I met as a child. Thank you so very much. Take care and God Bless. With all sincerity, Kathie L.
