Judge Samuel Johnston's grave site
Hi, John,
Have you found any new information on the burial site of Judge Samuel Johnston? I agree that the Bethlehem Churchyard Cemetery is a logical place. When I did research in Hunterdon County no one knew for sure where he was buried; it was only known that he requested in his will that he be buried in the Bethlehem Cemetery. It's a great puzzle that such a well-known man seemed to have no stone.

Thanks for reading this message.

Re: Rebecca Taylor
Hello, Rebecca Taylor remarried and married Rev. William A. Dowdell. She was buried in Ebenezer Cemetery outside Bethesda. Except for their two names everything else is unreadable. I am going to Ohio in two weeks and will try to get a picture of the marker. Joanne

Sarah B. Maull Neal
Dear Mr. Taylor,

Thank you for your picture of Sarah Neal's
grave stone.

She is a descendant of the last child of my
4th greatgrandfather, Levi Perry, of Russell County, Alabama.

Are you related to her or to the Neal family?
I am interested in making family contact to share information and learn about Sarah's family and life.

My email address is perry_rob@msn.com

Thanks in advance,
Rob Perry

RE: Holliday Tombstones
I can't say positively, but, got the information from another "tree" on ancestry.com that the child's headstone was noted as being 1 yr, 5 mths and x number days old. So, think they there should be a headstone for at least the infant. Hopefully, her mother will be right there with her.

RE: Dr. Suggs
The military ones are alphabetized separately. Look higher on the list under deacon?

(Weird if it really isn't there, but that's my only other thought of where to look).

If you "Edit Name," it's in the Prefix pulldown menu.

Augustus Taylor
I am going to this cemetery tomorrow to take pictures. In order for me to take a picture of Augustus' grave, I need written permission. If you could email me written permission I will be happy to take a photo for you. Also include the plot number if possible. My email is located on my profile page.

William Saunders
Putnam, Fl and passed away in Boynton Beach, FL June 28, 1929. His death certificate lists birthplace Columbia Co FL and father Jim Saunders (could be Samuel Jim Saunders?) The 1850 US Federal Census has him in Division 14, Alachua, FL and 1860 US Federal Census has him in Division 20, Putnam, FL with Samuel Saunders, Tabitha Saunders, Ocilla Saunders (Braddock /Padgett)born in Florida 1845, Martha Saunders, Tabitha Saunders and William Saunders. This matches notes I found regarding Ollie Saunders (Glisson) family. On brother William no children one adopted son Henry, sister Lilla married Padgett Crescent City. This is my grandmother's side of the family. My father's side of the family has Bertha Lee Braddock who was married to Henry Braddock. When is the Putnam Genealogical Society opened? I am trying to determine if my grandmother's family was in Florida in 1845 when it became a State.

RE: Taylor ancestors?
So far as I know we have no Taylor ancestors from New Jersey. If I have memorials for your Taylors, please ask for transfers. (I'm very willing to send along even distant relatives.) Let me know.
