I think that Jennie/Jessie should be taken off the list. Do you want to just list that there was a female child born 5 Jun 1889. Here's the list of children I have for him: Percy Clay Coats 21 Nov 1887; female Coats 5 Jun 1889. Floyd Guy Coats 16 Jun 1890; Olney Doyle Coats 1892; male Coats (died when 3 days old) 25 Mar 1893; Maude Carrie Coats 8 Sep 1896; and Gladys V. Coats Jan 1899. I know there's still one missing from this list, though, because the 1900 Census states that she gave birth to 8 children and 4 are living.Added by HESM on Apr 02, 2013 10:39 PM | | | Janice Lapp

I did more research and found that Aaron is not the father of that Jennie/Jessie he's living with on the 1920 Census. I looked at the original census and there is a note next to Aaron's name that says "Coates, Aaron R., father of no. 53" Number 53 is Floyd Coats. You can view the original at this website: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-267-12114-149598-68?cc=1488411&wc=12018081. It would seem unlikely that Jennie is his daughter.
