"What Makes You Think We Are Related?"
I enjoy working on my family genealogy and discovered Find a Grave to now help others. 90%+ of all my entries are entered from photos I have taken. I also cross reference some with Cemetery or Genealogy records, adding information for families to discover.
I have no problem maintaining memorials. If you are related within the FAG guidelines and want the memorial transfered, send me an edit. This is found by clicking on the EDIT tab at the top right of the memorial.
If I have made any errors or you have information you want me to add, Biographical sketches are welcomed, please also send me an edit so that I can correct/add them. Feel free to add an IMPROVED photo. I have learned that no matter what the light is like you can never get all great pictures. Please ask to use photos on another site or personal use.
My travels so far have included WA, OR, VT, NV, ID, MT, FL, LA British Columbia
and who knows where next!!
I photograph when I see the need. I am currently working on (with a team), photographing the HUGE Fairmount Cemetery in Spokane Washington, 6.2014. Let me know is you are interested in helping. I am in Coeur d'Alene Idaho.
Thank you all for this site and all of you that are doing great works here.

I couldn't tell you if it is a child or if it is him and his wife. The way I have it listed is the way that the cemetery has it listed I will try to find out from them if it is 2 people or just one and let you know.

Thank you so much for taking these pictures and including them on Find A Grave. I can enter info but do not know how to add a picture or to make the "blue" entries so you can connect to another family member. I am very computer stupid. If you can give me some hints or instructions I'd be grateful. Thanks. Judy Thatcher
|Jack Cady||RE: Fairmount Lawn 13|
Well, I am on it but it is very frustrating. I took 230 photos the other day and have been working long hours to get them all posted.
The photos are not too bad but almost none of the photos refer to existing records...one must first create the memorial and then edit and post the photo.
I could use some help.
I started at plot 1 am now at on only about the fifth row.
Perhaps we can find someone willing to start at the other (West) side and work toward the middle.
I am predicting that I will not finish this lawn this year, otherwise.

Thank you for putting my Grandma on this site. I thought I could give you some info for links.
Edward H. Larmer/53704953
Walter R. Larmer/2592448 (Griffith Historic Cemetery)
Arthur Larmer/25924262 (Griffith Historic Cemetery
Anna Mae Larmer West/28760962
Dr. Robert H Larmer/52996223
If you look at Edward's you will see the link to his parents. They are the parents of all children. There are actually two Emma Shepperd Larmer (Grandma Margaret's mom). Per the obit that is shown she was buried in Riverside; however, per the gravestone she is buried with Arthur and Walter in Griffith Historic. The two Emma's have date of birth and date of death offby one so I am a bit confused and looking into this more My Grandma took me to this family cemetery years ago and said this is where her mom is but?
Thanks for all you do. PS they have the wrong Margaret Martin linked to Edward and others and I am trying to get that fixed as well:)

Thank you soooooooo much for letting me know about "John" with no last name. It is a mistake and I have deleted it. Thanks again!
I just ran a check using 123 in the last name column for Spokane County. There are only 39 blank last names currently, with 18 in Fairmount. After you are done with the project, your group might focus on trying to figure out who these few people are. I am doing that with one local cemetery where a lot of my family is buried and I have the list down to about 4. Helps that the cemetery has its own online database, LOL. But knowing your local resources is a huge help.

|Airrow||RE: Fairmount cemeteey errors|
In order to search for names with no last name, just add 123 to the last name field. This acts as a "wild card" in that field. Then you can select state, county, or date filters to see how many blank last names there are in your area. I am working with a group to reduce the number of blank last names in the database, especially when so many are just system glitches or, like yours, where the name was accidentally entered into the wrong field, or where a photo shows the name on the stone but it was never entered. There were over 76k in the database and now there are about 64k, so that many names will now be easily searchable. Otherwise you have to know the trick or know exactly which cemetery someone is buried in and search only with a first name in that cemetery. Since you, like me, have so many memorials, we can't even see these errors in our contribution list. I'm trying to figure out a way to double check my own list.
