Bio and Links
Bio Photo This site has been such a great help in my family research. I have added my family info in hopes that it may help others.
I am researching the following families and their branches: Strouhal, Ferguson and McClendon settled in Texas, Bailey settled in Louisiana and the Newcity(Villeneuve), Twombly, Kidder, Grow, Brown families (and their branches) settled in the northeast in Vermont, NH, Mass, Ohio etc. Also researching the White family (Miss.) from my Uncle James L White.
Let me know if you see anything that needs correcting or if you have additional info. Please use the edit tab when sending the information. Have a nice day....

RE: Strouhal
Is your family tree on Ancestry? Send it to me. It would be nice to find your Czech ancestors.

RE: Strouhal
Not related to the Strouhal family. Have you been able to identify the city your ancestors lived in Czech Republic? There may be birth, marriage, & death records online.

RE: Melanie McClendon
Hi Susan: You're very welcome. So sorry I got a bit of a shadow in the photo. I just can't see what the photo will look like when I'm taking it on these digital camera screens. Yes, you may use the photo. Chris

Enoch & Mary (Kidder) Huggins
Enoch was my 3x great-grandfather. I haven't looked for info on him for awhile, so Googled him today. Much to my delight, I found four pages of Huggins births and deaths written by Enoch's brother before 1850! What a treasure! Thanks for sparking my interest!

The Abraham Lincoln Library in Springfield, IL, has some letters written by Enoch and also by his wife, Mary. Someday I hope to go there to look at them.

Mary Kidder Huggins

I just saw the edit that you sent, connecting Mary to her husband, Enoch Huggins. Thanks so very much! Sorry I didn't see it earlier.

Please send me an e-mail at or give me your e-mail address so I can write directly to you.. Jack and Grace are very longtime personal friends and I have a lot to tell you..

RE: Ruth (Twombly) and Maurice Vance
Rick Utton and I were the ones who cleaned the footstones for Doris and Maurice.. As you are a relative, I should tell you that Rick Utton and my wife Joan [Michaud] Parry were high school classmates of Jack Healey [whom I would guess to be a cousin of yours] Jack was the only son of Pauline Twombly and H.Clyde Healey. When I am done, I will have photographed nearly the entire 2000+ burials in Irasburg.
