I'm Pam. I live in Stillwater, OK. I love doing research on Payne County, Oklahoma and surrounding counties.
Due to the death of DonZas, I am managing the memorials in Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater that he posted. I will be keeping all of the memorials that are in my family tree. And, believe me, there are alot of them.
However, if you wish for me to transfer a memorial to you, send EACH request through the "EDIT" - "SUGGEST A CORRECTION" Link on EACH person's memorial. Please allow time, because I get alot of requests each day.
REMEMBER the Find-A-Grave RULE states: Transfer requests should be for DIRECT RELATIVES WITHIN FOUR GENERATIONS. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Uncle, Aunts, Cousins, nephews, mother's brother's first cousins, well, these don't count as a direct relative. And, yes, this part is included in the rules.
E-mail me if you have a question or if you have a request that I haven't already uploaded.
I have 2 books called "Cimarron Family Legends" vol 1 and 2. These books contain information that has been compiled by families that settled all around Stillwater and the surrounding towns of the Cimarron River in Payne County. I can look up information on families if you will send me the family name and any other information that I can use. Just e-mail me with the request.
Also, I have photographed and transcribed Ripley Oak Park Cemetery and Mt. Hope Cemetery near Ripley, OK. I don't transfer these memorials, but I will add the information and links if you ask me.
I was wondering why you think Estella is the daughter of Solomon Jones Easley and Jane Webb? I have all of their children in my tree except for Estella. She does not appear in any of the Census for this family. Her name can't even be confused with the middle name of someone listed in each census and her birth year and initials are not a match either.
I'd hate to leave her out if there is proof that she is their daughter.
I also own a copy of "The War Intrudes - Solomon Jones Easley, and the American Civil War", by Sid Easley. Estella is not mentioned anywhere in the book along with the other children.
Thanks for your help on solving this mystery, E Simcox
Ernest Claypool Young Sr Fairlawn Cemetary Hello! You are listed as managing the grave of my grandfather LTC Ernest Claypool Young Sr. I am the son of his son Ernest C Young II. Also listed on the grave page. Your page says you are managing everyone in your family tree? Are we related? I have a lot of information about these people that you might be interested in.
I believe this person to be my Great Grand Aunt. Everything I know about her so far leads me to believe so. Her half brother is William Thomas Higdon who died in Okmulgee, OK about 1907. I was wondering if you could get me a picture of her grave stone. Also is it possible to see if she had a mention or obituary in the local newspaper. If this is my aunt she was born in McMinn County, TN in 1864. The family moved to Elk City, KS where she met and married a Charles J. Stewart. During the land rush in 1889 she moved with her husband and stayed in OK until her death which was about the time listed. Any help will be appreciated. I live in Maryland so it not easy for me to check on this. Yours in genealogy, Robert Higdon firstname.lastname@example.org
RE: GLENWOOD CEMETERY Pammy, I'm not finding your email. Wondering if you have in your "Cimarron Family Legends" any info. on those in the above cemetery, located in PERKINS, Payne County? If so I would really like to hear from you. Sandy
William Pointer #23463503 This is my great grandfather, he was born in 1879, his youngest brother Benjamin was born in 1882. They were orphaned in 1885 and he was 6 years old at that time. There are more children that he and Sarah had including my grandmother Mary Margaret Pointer Davis.
Edgar Thompkins #14724521 Thank you, thank you, thank you! Finally the first of my cousins Marion and Mattie Thompkins' children is now resting cyberly with his immediate family. You are blessing Pay in Oklahoma. Thanks for your hard work! Angela Thompkins.
Charles Vincent Photos Just an FYI that the photos you have posted to memorial #14724816 are not the ones for this Charles Vincent. They are for Charles Louis Vincent also buried in Fairlawn Cemetery. You may want to remove them. Thanks for your help. Don Stout
DonZas Just navigated to your page because of a comment you had made on someone else's that interested me, and saw your bio note on DonZas. I am sorry to hear of his death. He was my "contact" for my Oklahoma relatives and we passed pages back and forth for many years. So many of the folks I worked with are gone now; I hope I didn't have any more cousin pages that he was holding onto for me. But mainly I just am sorry to lose him as a volunteer. I would say he ranked on my top ten easiest to work with, which says a lot. He will be missed.
