Genealogy begins as an interest,|
Becomes a hobby;
Continues as an avocation,
Takes over as an obsession,
And in its last stages,
Is an incurable disease.
I am working on the surnames of Ramsey (New York), Hayden/Franklin/Clark/Edgerly (Maine), and Haulk (Kentucky/Indiana). I live in NH and found this website during the summer of 2012. I enjoy working on my own genealogy, as well as helping out others with photos of their family/ancestors!
I'm currently working on adding memorials with photos to the Luzerne Cemetery in Luzerne, NY. I took over 2,000 photos last summer and most names are not listed as of yet. This is a time consuming task as I'm trying to link family as I go. I feel a strong connection with this cemetery, as I have many family members buried here.
You may use any of the photographs I have taken for your own personal genealogy work and for Ancestry.com trees with the credit of "Photo courtesy of StephanieH - Find A Grave Member #47869375."
Photographs may not be used for publications to be sold without permission.
My favorite poem...
"Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh and blood and bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so
I wonder how you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you."

I want to thank you sincerely for taking the time to post a photo for this memorial. I appreciate it very much.
Very sorry for the delay. Some of my emails were overlooked during the holidays.

Great Guns! You got all the photos and found their graves with the twisted directions in the plot directions I gave you...and, the weather was not cooperating. You're the best. Thanks so much for all you did and are doing. Enjoy the new year. winnie

Thank you so much for taking the time to photograph the grave site for us. It means so much to be able to see the last resting place of our ancestors who are so far away.
We wish you a very happy and peaceful Christmas.
Kind regards, Patricia and John

Thank for accepting my auto corrections and resulting linkage (Alexander McAllister and Rhoda Jane Bean). Have sent more regarding their children.
Am detailing on Find A Grave the line of descent from the 1718 Scotch immigrant Angus McAllister late of Londonderry, NH through his two sons William and David (both my ancestors). The line McAlisters you maintain at Salisbury is through David's son Archibald (my ancestor of Londondonderry) through the latter's son Alexander and his wife Rebecca Wright who settled at Goffstown.
