This site has been such a great help in my family research. I have added my family info in hopes that it may help others.|
I am researching the following families: Strouhal, Ferguson and McClendon settled in Texas and the Newcity(Villeneuve), Twombly, Kidder, Grow, Brown families (and their branches) settled in the northeast in Vermont, NH, Mass, Ohio etc. Also researching the White family (Miss.) from my Uncle James L White.
Let me know if you see anything that needs correcting or if you have additional info.
Have a nice day....

Susan, I found several Moses Fergusons. Could you give me the names of his children and / or wife? Also, if you knew the state he lived in would be another big help. That would help narrow it down. Susan

Hi, Susan. My name is also Susan. According to my records, my Samuel Ferguson did not have a brother named Moses. It might be that I just haven't run across him, yet. His parents were James Samuel Ferguson (1715 - 1778) and Agnes Adams (1724 - 1790). I'll do a quick check on Ancestry.com for Moses. If I find any information, I'll get back in touch. Susan

The photos are yours you may do what you want with them. I liked the quilt design in your photo.

You're very welcome - I wish that I could have gotten a clearer picture but between the age of the stone and where it's located, I don't know if that could be done :) Have a great week!

Hi Susan, I did take a picture of the back of the Twombly stone (Hussey family) but it's really faded! I wrote down what I could decipher and I'm going to try a different edit program when I get home tonight to see if I can make it any clearer. Using the flash on my camera didn't make any difference either. Sometimes the stones are in such a shady area, that it makes it hard to photograph them. I read somewhere about using an LED flashlight to deepen the shadows to bring out the letters...may try that next :) I believe that I saw the Pierce name.
Keep your fingers crossed lol

Oops, they already belong to you lol Now I really know it's time for bed :)
