Genealogy begins as an interest,|
Becomes a hobby;
Continues as an avocation,
Takes over as an obsession,
And in its last stages,
Is an incurable disease.
My family names are RAMSEY (New York), HAYDEN/FRANKLIN/CLARK/EDGERLY (Maine), and HAULK (Kentucky/Indiana).
I live in NH and found this website during the summer of 2012. I enjoy working on my own genealogy, as well as helping out others with photos of their family/ancestors!
I'm currently working on adding memorials with photos to the Lake Luzerne Cemetery in Lake Luzerne, NY. This is a time consuming task, as I'm trying to link family as I go. I feel a strong connection with this cemetery, as I have many family members buried here.
You may use any of the photographs I have taken for your own personal genealogy work and for Ancestry.com trees.

"Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh and blood and bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so
I wonder how you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you."

Thank you very much for all of the photos you have been adding to my memorials. They look great.

Hello Stephanie, I submitted an edit request to link her to her parents. The source is family data cross referenced to census records. Thanks for having created her memorial. Paul Turner

Thank you for the headstone and grave marker photos for this veteran.

Hi! Yes, this is totally the right person, don't worry. Her mother's name appears different on every document I have found for her. Her father's name was originally CROFT and apparently he changed it (possibly to avoid being caught as a bigamist) when he came to the USA.
Here is a link to explore - sources for the parents, marriage, names, etc. are listed at the bottom of each page - and footnotes within the text can direct you to the source for the facts. Hope that clears things up!
Also, I have been in contact with a descendant of George Croft (before he became Clews) who has done more research on the family. Some of that information has already been included on their wikitree pages.
Thanks for posting pictures! I really appreciate it!

I have added the other names. Look them over, if you see anything that needs to be added let me know.
Thanks again for taking the time to do this.
