I am originally from Davenport, Iowa, Class of 64. Right now, I live in Kingsport, TN. I recently was transfered from Ft. Polk Louisiana. I am assigned to Holston Army Ammunition Plant in Kingsport. My vacations have been taken in Iraq and Afghanistan and Kosovo. Alex Haley in his "Roots" really got my interest in family history going. I had so many questions for my grandfather when I was young but I was intimidated. He had such a stern appearance. With the dawn of Ancestry.com, research into my German roots has really taken off. Now the curtain is being pulled back and we can see into the past.
I am still trying to settle in. If you have a photo request for the national cemetery in Johnson City, TN, I think I can find the place.
Enjoy. Believe me folks, the USA is where everyone wants to go for freedom and democracy. It is a resource we all need to protect and our flag is a symbol to the world for that freedom.

RE: Hugh Henry
The stone in the picture isn't actually on his grave. It's a quarter of a mile west on the site where the church stood. I couldn't find the actual cemetery. It's apparently on private property that is fenced and overgrown.

RE: Koetzings
Hi Gary - Yes, John's stone reads year of death as 1908. I tried taking photos on two days at different times of day to get the best light, but his stone is rather worn. Thanks

Re: Isaiah Bloch
I couldn't help but take a slightly more artistic shot of his grave with the tree in full bloom. You'll have to ask the creator of the plot to add the updated information about dates and marriage to Amelia Bloch to his memorial.

P.S. - Sorry for the previous message sent by accident.

Gary,
Thank you so much for the photo. Far superior to the one I took on my visit there. Your kindness is very much appreciated.
