I have been researching my family tree for over 30 years. I have over 50,000 relatives in my tree.
My wife and I have sold our ranch and are now living in an RV. We will be on the road for at least three or four years, I want to visit and photograph all the cemeteries where my relatives are buried. My roots start in Virginia and North Carolina, I am starting there and working my way west.
One of my projects was to HONOR my fellow Veterans who are no longer with us, by photographing the over 20,000 memorials in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Ft Gibson, Oklahoma, to date I have taken photos of over 19,000 stones and added most to findagrave, then I went back, added wives and deleted all duplicates.
If I am managing one of your relatives, and they are not in my family tree, contact me and I will transfer it to you, no questions ask. Feel free to use any photo I have posted to Find A Grave, that's why I do this.
I research the family lines of my grandparents, WALSTON, LAWRENCE, WILLIS and HOOVER.

Fort Bliss National Cemetery
Please remove this incorrect tombstone photo on Dorothy A. Robbins' memorial #1123521. You had previously posted this same photo onto the correct Dorothy Ann Robbins' memorial #72411385.

Thank you for your time and help with taking and posting tombstone photos at Fort Bliss.

After further thought, sections AA, BB, CC & GG were just re-sod this spring... Taking clean photos would be easy.

RE: Photos:
What a wonderful, ambitious project!

Less than 40% of the Find A Grave memorials have been photographed; so just about any section would yield results.

6A, 6B, 6C & EE3 (the most recent interments) are mostly photographed; as are the columbariums.

There has been little systematic Find A Grave photography, except for the columbariums.
The older sections seem to be the most neglected, and have regular photo requests.
You might want to consider sections G, H, K, or L.

There are also regular photo requests in sections D, V, LL, and KK.

Thanks in advance for your volunteer contribution to Find A Grave.

Family tree
Is John David Highland Jr. Buried in Idaho, in your family tree by any chance? He is my dads brother.

I have not been able to find their mother, Lillian (Rhuerman) Highland or sister, Betty Lou Highland for anything. I have searched and searched for years and nothing.

By th way, thank you for adding a picture to my uncles grave. I never got the opportunity to meet him and that really helps heal the empty spaces in my heart. Thank you.
