~ I like to photograph grave markers so that a historical record is forever captured of those who were here before us. If you keep your family tree online, feel free to use any photo I've taken to enhance your tree. All I ask is that you make a note indicating the photo was found on FindaGrave. That way others who may not be familiar with this website will be introduced.

Taphophilia: an abnormal love for graves and cemeteries. The love of walking cemeteries and finding lost relatives and the gravesites of ancestors.

THE STORY TELLERS
We are the chosen. In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors.
To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve.
Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before.
We are the story tellers of the tribe.

Many Anthropologists believe that everyone is a 40th cousin and that any two people can find a common ancestor who has lived since 800 a.d.

In which cemetery
Hi Barnard,

Regarding Jerry Wietrzykowski, mem #109981957, in Saint Rose Cemetery, clarification is needed because he is also listed in Calvary Cemetery, mem # 52692066.

Above and beyond
You deserve many thanks for putting in a lot of search time on the McHenry and Engel families. And now you are doubling down on the McConneloug's (however you spell it) May your generosity be returned to you many times over!

Stricklin Family at Oakwood Memorial Park
Hi! There is not a grave marker for George Stricklin (1915 - 1985). Apparently there is a Marjorie Stricklin buried next to him who also does not have a grave marker.

These other Stricklin family members are buried in the same area.

Thomas E. Stricklin, 8-17-1958 - 1-8-2012
Lloyd M. Stricklin, 1918 - 1971
Lillian P. Stricklin, 1920 - 1995
Fred Henry Stricklin, 6-23-1938 - 1-4-1940
Walter E. Stricklin, 1914 - 1995
June L. Stricklin, 1916 - 1989
Helen S. Stricklin, 1935 - 1993
George P. Stricklin, 1936 - 1999
Dorothy M. Sricklin, 1898 - 1968
Edwin M. Stricklin, 1892 - 1959

If you add photo requests for them I will post the photos that I took.

Thank you so much for photographing their headstone. They are the parents of my co-worker and she was very moved to see the memorial that you helped make possible. Thank you so much!!
