|Eric A. Talla||Gossett connection, Rev Matthias, Jacob, Dr Edward Burnham Gossett, etc.|
My wife is Judith Gossett Talla, and she is direct line of Matthias, Jacob, Rev Matthias, Martin, John Matthias, John Jessee, and Judy.
We are involved in an DNA study for that line, of which all are related. Are you a descendant of Dr. Edward Burnham Gossett? I know there are various male Gossett descendants in the Denver Metro area-- (where I Judy and I have lived 3 different times).
We are thankful to see the photos of Rev Matthias Gossett and his wife, Rebecca Judy Gossett--they are Judy's third great grand parents. Are there any other photos of this line and family??
We have been to the Gossett Hill Cemetery twice since 2007, and helped to clean it up several years ago. We have the names and photos of stones of several persons buried there, that aren't listed on any KY lists. I believe there about 16 to 18 persons there. We would love to hear from GKA. Personal address is email@example.com. Judy's tree on Ancestry is Judith Gossett Talla Family Tree. We have done a lot of original research that we are willing to share with folks.. It helps to clarify Jacob's father Matthias in West Virginia--but is a branch of its own, at this point. Needing more male Gossetts who may be of this direct line. Thanks for letting me share, and to also thank you for your work.

|John Meacham||Elizabeth Reinert Bower|
She was my great-great grandmother through her daughter Catherine who married John Ryan 1/9/1882. They lived in Lincoln, Ill. Catherine had a twin sister, Fayanna. I found two tintypes in my grandfather's house (Herman Meacham, who married Mary Ellen Ryan, d. of John and Catherine). Both labeled Mrs. Ryan, but I believe one is Catherine, the other Fayanna. Also have a letter to Catherine from her family in Ainsworth. Will be glad to share information. John Meacham, Meacham@nwcable.net

Thank you for the update - she was my grandfather's first wife and my aunt & uncle's mother.
Thanks again - Valerie

|AlongTheWay||Re: Elizabeth McCormick|
Check out what I've just been finding about Elizabeth McCormick - see Memorial# 122898073
Per Ancestry, I found this 1880 census with what appears to be the same Elizabeth w/2nd husband - James Cooper, and dau - Alice (Elle) Perry who is recorded as Elle Cooper.
Home in 1880: Ahnapee, Kewaunee, Wisconsin
- James Cooper 33 - born in Ireland
- Elisabeth Cooper 36 - born in Missouri
- Elle Cooper 14 - born in Wisconsin
And then, I happened to add, and even visit & photograph the grave of James Cooper in Algoma, Wisconsin.

Thank you - William is now linked to his mother.
These are memorials I've added:
1. Alice (Perry) Birdsall - Memorial# 92106800
is LINKED to her father:
- Samuel Perry - Memorial# 93867559
See Samuel Perry's BIO.
Until, or if actual burial is found, I will add a "burial unknown memorial" for Elizabeth (McCormick) Perry - and link to her father, Marcus McCormick, and her husband Samuel Perry. Also linked Alice as her daughter.
|AlongTheWay||RE: Asa Birdsall's mother|
I think I've pieced together all your excellent information about the family surnames of Pellett, Birdsall, McCormick, and Perry.
Have I missed this somewhere on Find A Grave, or is there a memorial out there for Elizabeth (nee McCormick) Perry? Do you know when and where she died?
NOTE: I've LINKED Asa Birdsall to his mother:
- Eunice A Pellett Birdsall McCormick
Is there anything more I can do, to complete any family linking?
Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity for the transfers of my great grandparents, Alfred and Clara. To think we lived so close to this cemetery, for over 20 years, and my dad did not know is so sad. You have opened a window into his heritage, and ours, we would never have had. Blessings.
