I'm a preservationist and historian descended from many generations in Texas.|
I was so happy to find some "lost" ancestors through Find A Grave. I joined the Find A Grave community as a volunteer, to help other people find where their ancestors and loved ones are buried, and to see photographs of markers in cemeteries they will never be able to visit personally. So many wonderful, dedicated people have volunteered time and money to make this website a success. I am disappointed it is now owned by a for-profit company, using the time and efforts of numerous volunteers.
Please give credit to the volunteers who have created memorials, and ask permission to use photographs. I will be happy to add information to memorials, with proper documentation, and to transfer memorials, following the guidelines of Find A Grave.
NOTE: ancestry.com now allows anyone to make changes to a memorial, without the consent or knowledge of the person who created the memorial, thus destroying the integrity of carefully researched and documented memorials. PLEASE VERIFY ALL INFORMATION WITH YOUR OWN RESEARCH.

I send you some info on this cousin of mine and you declined the info. It said it was not the info you had in your files but it matched your info you have posted on him. Not sure what was wrong but if you are willing to share what it was then I can correct my files. I do have him as the name above and Birth July 30, 1842 in Shelby Co, TX and Death June 6, 1892 in Center, Shelby Co, TX. he married
Mary Frances Eddins, May 5, 1865. He was son of Roderick Royster and Julian Nancy Mary Lout Wiggins. I have the documents to prove this. Let me know what you think is wrong and I will correct mine.

The opening line of your bio "I'm a preservationist and historian descended from many generations in Texas." Was just wondering if you are trained, self-taught and/or college level educated in History and/or genealogy?
Hello, How can ancestry.com make changes to our memorials on find a grave? I hope find a grave won't allow that.

Thanks for your information about this. Now that familysearch.org and ancestry.com are linked as well, I wonder if the same holds true there. Hopefully someone who knows will reply.

Sheron, You are very welcome.

State of 2nd marriage is West Virginia, not Pennsylvania.
Also, check the record of the 2nd wife for the spelling of her maiden surname. Was it Wood or Woods?

Sheron, Thanks for the info you provided on this Memorial.

Thank you for making the edit.

Theodocia was my great grandmother. She was first married to William Wesley Wright and her first child was my grandfather, Yantes Wright. Do you know where William Wesley Wright was buried? He died in Red Oak, Texas.

I just added a picture I took to this memorial. William is my fifth great grandfather. He died in Nether Providence but Find A Grave only had Providence.
Iíll be uploading or linking more graves to this. All my dates are verified/proven with public records :-)
If anyone suggests an edit to include a Sarah Hall as his wife, please refuse it if you can! Iíve proven over and over again that this William did NOT marry Sarah Hall in Philadelphia, but people refuse to accept any changes to their genealogy. ARG!
