Bio Photo Additional information and corrections are very welcome. Feel free to use my headstone photos too.

If anyone wants to take over the management of their family's memorial from me, just ask; don't be shy. As long as you're related to the deceased, that's good enough for me. Please remember to include your Find A Grave ID number when requesting the transfer.

Please do not post complete obituaries on my memorials (too many problems with people's privacy and copyright infringement). Paraphrasing the main points from an obituary is great, and I'm happy to add that if you forward it to me using the Edit tab.

And finally...

From the Amador Ledger (Calif.), November 2, 1900:
THE TRANSLATION. On the gate of the cemetery in Rio de Janeiro is a notice in Spanish, French, and English that no dogs are admitted unless led by the owner. This is how the announcement is made in English: "Noble mesdames and gentlemen who may desire a dog to follow in this tombsyard will be permission unless him drawn by a cable round him throttle."

Arles B. Crosley
Kathie, I will have to check. I found it somewhere on Ancestry, I think. I was especially interested in him because of the name Arles. His cousin, Myrtle Crosley Linney named her first child Arles and I guessed that is where she got his name.

Yes, I love it. I have seen them describe wedding dresses and flowers in a most delightful way. The good old days!

Kathie, I want to thank you for all the research you have done on the Crosley family. I am the great granddaughter of Valentine Vanhuse Crosley and your work has helped me a lot in learning more about the family.

Thank you for trying! LOL! Yes I just discovered the mix up myself. He is being changed to Walter Alva Eagan in my program.

Take care!

RE: Obituary/death records
I've tried these websites and couldn't find her, maybe she went back to Norway, where she was born.

Obituary/death records
Hey do you live in Placer County, CA? Because one of my distant cousins might've died in Auburn, CA sometime in the 1930s or after 1932, and I can't seem to find her death record. So I'm wondering if you lookup obituaries and death records too?
