The gravestone photos I take are for friends and family to use in their research. You may copy them, but if you publish or use them on another site please give proper credit due. Thank you.|
Any added information to the memorials has come from my own personal research or other contributors. Suggestions for corrections or additions are always welcome.
A huge THANK YOU is due those (especially EMILY, JERE, PATTI, and ADAM) who walked, read, catalogued, published books, and/or posted to the county websites long, long before Find-A-Grave was born! They are the true pioneers of cemetery research in our county, and their work makes our contributions much easier.
One of the best rewards of working on Find-A-Grave is the opportunity to work with those contributors who truly care about the loved ones of others and are willing to share the memorials.
When we work together to make the Find-A-Grave memorials as accurate as possible we are honoring the memory of someone's loved ones.

Thanks for the info. I'll see if the contributer who originally added the memorials knows some/any of the history.
Thanks, and best wishes!

Hello. I noticed that you've added some photos to a few memorials in Lawrence Cemetery, Roberts, Madison County, TN. Have you visited this cemetery?
My family are Lawrences from that area, and I was wondering why there are no Lawrences listed as being buried there. Seems strange to name a cemetery after a family that didn't use it. I have a Lawrence ancestor that disappears in Madison/Crockett Co. around 1880, and was wondering if this might could be where he's buried, possibly his parents as well.
I would greatly appreciate any info you might have on this cemetery and its "residents."

I've got about 45,000 memorials and maybe 50 ancestors. Easy give away.
Thanks for the edit to Calvin, too.

You can use the photo.
|JD Gilkey||Robert Calhoun Gilkey, Jr|
He is buried in McLemoresville Cemetery. Do you know if his wife Sarah Ellen is buried there also?
I am also looking for his father RC, Sr and his wife.
If you come across any other Gilkey or Guilkey I would appreciate your transfer. A lot of people will not transfer relatives.
Thank you so much for your work with Find A Grave.
