I have been interested in my family since I was 5 years old, but did not start doing family research until 1990. I have been on staff at the Oakland California Family Search Library from 1991 to the present day. After I retired in 2010 I have had lots of time for family research and in searching for my family I have been many places in the United States and to England and the Netherlands across the big "little" pond.|
I work with my wife to take pictures and visit cemeteries that she has entered over the years so together we have entered many memorials and pictures.
I'm a native Californian, born in the San Francisco Bay area. I have been married twice and have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.

This is the memorial for my dad, Larry. I see you had taken over maintenance from someone else and I would like to take over this memorial as he is my own father. I would appreciate the cordial help in this matter. Thank you, Lisa Stanley
|Joe Pearce||Bain surname|
You've recently sent several messages concerning the Bain family.
If you are related to this family, I'd be happy to transfer any or all of them to you.
I am related but it is a very distant relation.

Her father and mother are listed as Baines. Her father signed the Death Cert as Willie Baines. I think the person filling out the DC used the incorrect selling and I prefer to leave her as Bertha Baines. Baines is on her parents marker. All of her father's siblings are Baines, so other than a mistake on the DC why would her name be Bain? If ever there is a headstone posted that shows Bain. I will change it. A lot of DC's have the names spelled incorrectly
Willie and Cora's son J B is buried in Greenvale Cemetery as J.B. Baines. I have evidence(SSI) to prove parents so will ask that he be linked

Today you req a pic of Walter Raleigh Cole.
I have been photographing the entire cemetery and had not seen his marker. Today upon seeing your req I went back out.
In the same plot with Samuel Craton Cole, there was a larger marker that had apparently been pushed over and landed face down outside of the plot below the brick fencing.
I am betting this is Walter Raleigh Cole's marker.
There is no way I can flip it over for a photo...so I will post a photo of what I can see.

This was my mother, her mother was Rebecca (Elsie) *Parsley* Webb, born Dec. 27, 1893, died March 20, 1963. My grandmother Webb had more siblings than noted: There was theodore, Theodric, (Tad) Mollie, Candis, and Hazel. I lived with my grandparents, was 13 when grandmother passed, 19 when grandfather. I have lot of info. On This Webb and Parsley, and Houchen (Houchin) line.
