I am a Daughter of a Union Veteran of the Civil War. (DUVCW) My Great Great Grandfather, John Delong fought in the Civil War. I am unable to find his grave. He died in Spencerville, Ohio on June 17, 1895 at the age of 84. I volunteer at the Grand Rapids, Michigan Home for Veterans.|
I am an United States Air Force Veteran.
Also I am the secretary for the Grand Rapids Civil War Round Table. And I am a director on our newly formed group, Friends of Michigan Veterans' Homes. We raise money for the little extras for our Vets in the Homes.
It is hard for me to pass a cemetery without stopping. Lucky for me, my husband has the same interests.
Please if you request a transfer, please use the EDIT key. Also send me your ID number.

Would you please check the death certificate that you added a while back to this grave. I think there may have been an error. Thanks for all you do with regard to the grave memorials.

Hello; First I would like to thank you for your service to your country and for all you do for Find A Grave and Veterans. William A. Wilson is my great grandfather's younger brother. I am decended from Andrew J. I have sent through additional info on William's full birth date. Also I have been trying to find out information on Williams first wife. He was married after his discharge from the Union Army and within 18 months of this marriage, lost his wife and child to illness. Unfortunately I can find nothing indicating the names for this wife and child. I have a copy of a letter he wrote to the Alumni Association of his medical school and he doesn't even state their names. I assume they are buried in New York as he didn't move to Michigan until the 1880's. Also, I know it is outside of the transfer rules but would you considering transferring his memorial to me.

Hello there. I wanted to know if it was okay to repost the photo you took on to his wife's memorial? I see you say it's okay to post on ancestry but wanted to make sure it was okay to repost here on Findagrave. I will make sure and give you credit as the photographer. Cheers!
