Bio Photo Please feel free to contact me for changes and corrections to memorials, or if you would like a memorial transferred to you that I have posted. I am usually happy to transfer a memorial of a person that I am not related to, but if I am related, I would prefer to keep it. It's best to use the Edit Tab on the specific memorial to make it easier for me to find who you're inquiring about.

RE: Ida & Turner Barber
Thank you so much for this reply. I am not sure about the grave for Thomas Scott. I went by the site I had seen on one of your post next to Goose Pond Road but have not been able to walk around in there looking for it. Her son Thomas Barber is buried in Dan River Cemetery up the road from there.

Thank you so much for the fast reply. I will try to get a photo of their Head stones this week and post them. That may lead to some of the answers I am looking for. Ricky

Thomas W. Scott
Hi Ms. Hampton, my name is Ricky Pritchett and I am looking for information about my mothers Mom Ida Bell Scott. I noticed she was not listed on your page. I remember Aunt Blanche and my Mother Naomi Barber Pritchett mentioned a Uncle Luther. I have some papers showing Ida listed but not on your page. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My pages listed the children as Ida B. Scott, Henry L. Scott, Scintha B. Scott and William H. Scott. This was the 1900 U.S. Federal Census.Hope you can help. Thank you - Ricky

RE: James Henry Eanes 46314712
Thank you for your help. My husband who has volunteered to take photographs for Find a Grave will help me to document this cemetery. We will make a trip to Brunswick County sometime this Fall, hopefully in September. Here is the online source for the cemetery:

Thank You, Julie for your response. I would like to take over the maintenance of this site. I just hope that I have the computer skills to do it. Since I am 71 years old, computer operatons are often a puzzle to me.

I would like to point out that a man named Larry Eanes has done my family plot in Danville, VA. I also would like to thank him and take over from him, but I hesitate.

I will, however, visit Brunswick County this Fall and take a picture of that cemetery and the two visible tombstones that are in it. The rest of the graves may have funeral home markers. I got my information about the cemetery from the Brunswick County GenWeb site. These I will forward to you, and then we can decide if I should take it up. I do work with my 2nd cousin's wife, who is much younger than I am and lives in Virginia and who is also an Eanes descendant; and, and she may be willing to work with me and inherit the site from me.

I do like to think of myself as a young 71 and hope to live to my nineties as has the rest of my family.

I will be going on this trip at the end of September, Lord Willing, and I will be in touch with you then.

My granddaughter is working on her 4-H genealogy project and would like to ask you if she can use some of your pictures. All pictures will be kept private.

Thanks for your time,

Thank you so much for the transfer. I
hope to be able to get in the cemetery in a
few weeks. The owner has a broken shoulder but we are going to go when she feels better

Hello, I am trying to find family of either John or his 1st wife Mary Rice.

I have a cousin who has David W Walker b.1780 NC as his father, and a Patsey Dalton b. abt 1815 Virginia. It seems they got married Jan 1806 Caswell Co, NC.

My mother was a Dalton, and ancestry has mentioned that these may be cousins of mine thru my 6th great uncle Wm Isham Dalton, b 1747 Virginia, d. 1812; which is before Patsey was born.

I was just wondering if you have any info that might help me on this issue.
thanks, Gloria Beasley Arnold

Hi Julie, John Smith is my 5G grandfather. Thank you for your photos! Jim Gilmer added a photo of a gravestone with John Smith's name on it. You added a photo of a gravestone below the one Jim added. Whose gravestone did you add? Thanks, I am a bit confused and hope to visit the grave later this year. Debra Smith Grubbs - Ridgeland, MS

Peter Henry Robertson
Memorial# 55181662
On the website, "Per Find A Grave contributor deegraver: His parents were John D. Robertson and Eliza Pratt."
I believe that to be true also, but Peter Henry Robertson's marriage record to Minnie Massey, 10 Jan 1884 Rockingham, North Carolina, USA, gives his mother as Minerva S Robertson. Can you shed any light on that?
