|Kelly Breitenfeldt||Friedrich Kersten|
Hello, You messaged me a little while back and were looking for information on Friedrich Kersten and where he might be buried. I was able to locate his death record in the Peace Lutheran Church Parish Records. It advises that he was born on 5 Dec 1824 and passed away on 13 Jan 1889 and was buried on 16 Jan 1889. The likelihood is that he was buried in the Church cemetery. Though no stone exists at this time it doesn't mean their never was. Of course it is always possible that he was buried on private lands but this seems like a slim chance since his entire family is buried at the Church Cemetery. Sorry I am not able to confirm his resting place but it appears at this time that there is only educated guesses.

Thanks for looking for me. It's where our records show him buried (based on his obituary) but it wouldn't be the first time a newspaper got it wrong or the family had a change of plans.

Danielle, Thanks so much for getting the photo for Margaret and letting me know about Phillip. The reason I put in the request for Phillip was my way to trying to see if he had a date of death on the stone. I can't find anything that shows a date, but several trees show him as deceased. He was married a 2nd time after Margaret died, so if he really is deceased he might actually be buried somewhere else. There was probably the intention he would be buried with Margaret when she died, thus his name on the same stone. Anyway thanks again. I'll keep digging and see if I can find anything concrete for him.
