Researching Chet's family including McCaig, Hughes, Hooper, Carter & Wade and
my lines including Whitaker, Harrell, Douglas & St. Peters.
To honor the service of our veterans, we try to add memorials for all those interred in Memphis National Cemetery, West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, and Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West near where we now live in Clarksville, TN.
We're also adding memorials for those associated with American Snuff Company (formerly Conwood Company), the former Kimberly-Clark Memphis Mill and Velsicol Chemical in Memphis.
To document the date and reason for transfers, and hopefully prevent deletion of memorials and the family squabbles we've previously experienced, to request transfer of a memorial, please leave a message here including the memorial name & number, and your relationship, name & member ID. (Remember the Find A Grave guidelines: Requests should be for direct relatives, within four generations, your siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents.)
We are happy to make corrections or add details via the "Suggest A Correction" button on the memorial.
We have no intent of commercial or financial gain from posting information on this site. We do this solely as a service to others searching for family burial locations for personal or genealogy purposes. Can you put a note on the record that says that my grandfather's birthdate is incorrect. It is January 20, 1903. I noticed that his date that he entered the Navy is Aug 23, 1944. Perhaps that is where the error occurred. My grandmother, tried to get it corrected but she couldn't. I'm going to see what I can do.

Hello Linda is a first cousin of mine, lived with them when we lived in Memphis and was wondering if you could transfer her to me as I am trying to get the whole family connected on here, She was born in Memphis to Don and Marion, her dad died of a brain aneurysm back in Oct 1968, the same as Linda.
